I've been following the yahoo Chinook group and I gotta say they're almost as religious as the 80 crowd on MUD! Some of them will actively look for Chinooks even while they're on their honeymoon!
Yeah. My eyes are open for them all the time.. kind of like they are for 40s and 80s... it's contagious! I saw one while hunting in NM. Looked like it had been parked for a few years in a small town.. I really had to fight from stopping.
I didn't have a lot of time for the cabinet work so I designed them and had someone make them to spec. I did finally figure out a solution for the bed platform.. very happy with the result..
Here is the passenger side rear closet.... it can store poles or guns. Can't see in the pic but there is a cut out closest to the rear body. Below the closet is a pull out drawer for a Porta potty (when the misses comes along) or a generator. The front side flips down.View attachment 1111870
On the drivers side I made some last minute adjustments. Originally I was thinking about a wall of drawers but that didn't provide easy access to the plumbing and such.. I also got sidetracked on this..View attachment 1111873View attachment 1111873View attachment 1111874View attachment 1111875
On the bottom of the shallow drawers is just an open area for boots and dirty items
I tried to maximize all the available space and with the cabinets being so low I wanted to make sure I had pullout drawers instead of doors. I also did not want drawer pulls. On more thing to snag on your clothes or worry about breaking so all the drawers have cutout pulls.

Yes its a wood stove heater. I took off the puma compressor tank as I used the bumper for an air tank. I cut the tank on both ends and added square tube for the bottom and 1/4" plate on the top as a cook service... I will have to take some detailed shots after I get back.
Thanks guys! I love having a wood burning stove. Here in AZ there is an abundance of dry wood pretty much everywhere in the mountains or desert. Im trying to find some heat resistant glass for the stove door to add a final touch to the stove. It would be great laying in bed and seeing the glow of the fire....
