I just finish my 4 inch lift. When I get on the freeway and go 65mph and let go of the gas all the way I hear a weird sound like a grinding noise but I'm not sure if it's coming from the driveshaft or the axle? But when I go 35mph or under there is no noise. Should I still drive her around or find the problem first? I want to say thanks to all the mud member that have been helping me from the beginning. You guys are the best and I hope that one day I can give it back

I still haven't found mine after installing both double cardan shafts. Adjusting the rear pinion angle changes its intensity but I haven't been able to get it to go away completely. What doesn't make sense is how removing the front shaft makes it go away but when I put the front shaft in, the rear pinion angle can change the noise. It must somehow load the transfer case a bit differently, therfore changing the angle on the front shaft with each adjustment. I've put chassis ears all over the place as well trying to find where the grind comes from to no avail. PFM my friend

Classic u-joint vibe post lift. Driveline angles need to be addressed.

I got everything that slee off-road recommend for 4' lift
that doesnt sound the same as a "slee 4" lift kit." (which would have everything they recommend in it)
its driveline vibe. replace rear u joints will help. heck, grease in the rear ujoints will help also.

Would it cost more damage if I keep drive it around?

Try greasing 1 ujoint at a time then road testing. The one that changes with grease is most likely the problem. Maybe bad joint, maybe bad angle, but you would know where to start. John

Like other have said check the u joints. I have had your same problem before on a previous Jeep.

any time I have lifted a high mileage truck the U joints go out right away. I usually find that the U joint cup had wear marks in them. So after the lift the needle bearing would ride up over these marks and destroy the bearings. I pulled one off my 85 pickup after going from stock to 4 inch lift and all that was left of the needle bearings was just greasy sand. on that one you could feel where the bearings had worn into the U joint cap.

I have the exact issue you describe. I'm curious to know if in addition to that issue, do you notice any slight thump noise only after starting from a complete stop? Rear u-joints have been replaced, fronts were deemed fine.

^THIS

Regrease and if that doesn't quiet them down replace them. If you don't want to spend the dough on OEM Rockauto has some on clearance for about 6 bux each but most will say OEM are the only way to go unless you happen to enjoy changing them often.
