Leather Shift Knob

I feel about as stupid as a teenager hanging out in the car accessory section of Wal Mart for asking this question but here goes anyway. I saw a mid 80's leather shift knob on ebay the other day and I thought, that looks nice so I decided to watch and see what it went for. Can't remember the exact figure but IIRC it was $40+ which I thought was a bit steep for a used shift knob. I proceeded to perform the requisite google search and here is what I came up with (see link and photo):

Anyone try one of these? Any reason is wouldn't fit on my 85?

From another website it appears that they come with the stick-on aluminum center piece in 2 or 3 different shift patterns although this particular link didn't say that. (Not sure my teenage children could handle not having a photo of the gear pattern to refer to!)

Second question. If your manual transmission truck or 4Runner came with a leather shift knob, what was on the transfer case shifter? I've never seen a transfer case knob that was leather, thus my question.

For $30 I might just have to try one.

My 94 runner has a leather know on the trans, and some kind of rubber on the t-case. Whereas my 91 has rubber on both. This leads me to believe that all t-cases get rubber, but some years and models got the leather. It is really nice to have a leather shift knob.

I remember looking on toyodiy.com, and they are expensive from the dealer, like over 100 bucks.

My 85 came with a leather shift nob with the gear pattern on it. I think when it comes to shift nobs, they are pretty much universal for manual tranny vehicles. I had a B&M shifter I got at Napa that fit perfect and later down the road I switched it up and used various shift nobs from random Toyota vehicles. Currently I have a 80s corolla shift nob. Im pretty sure if its a toyota shift nob it will fit any toyota manual transmission shifter. I have yet to find a toyota nob that did not fit on other toyotas. Never seen a tcase shifter that was leather.

My 95 SR5 pickup came with a leather tranny shift knob but it has a rubber knob for the transfer case.
I love the leather shift knob but mine is wearing out. Any body have a blue leather shift knob in good condition you would like to part with?
Anybody know where or if I can buy a new one. I've checked ebay now and then but I havn't seen one yet
