Hello, I am in desperate need of advice. My 1994 Land Cruiser leaks water into the cabin and I have narrowed it down to my sunroof drains (I think). The drains work how they should and are not clogged but I believe they are either slightly off of the nipple at the top or there is a small tear in them near the top. I poured a bunch of water down one and most of it drained, but a small stain of water formed at the seem of the A pillar and the headliner itself. My question is: what is the best way to get behind the A pillar without ruining the headliner? Since it is a 94' it has the fabric with suspension rods and it is actually in very nice shape. But it is a problem because the A pillars tuck super far behind the windshield and are sewn to the headliner itself. I am thinking about cutting as far down towards the windshield as I can and just folding them up to gain access. I am a novice when it comes to headliner especially ones like this and would rather not have to remove a windshield as I do not possess the right equipment. Let me know what you think and if there is a better way to do this. Thank you!

Update: After further planning, I found that I was able to gently peel the headliner from the body above the door and slowly work it off until I had enough room to see. I dumped water into the sunroof drain until I saw water leaking from the open headliner, and I have determined that the water is running from the sunroof down the pillar until it hits the seam, where it soaks, causing the stain. I unfortunately did not peel enough of the headliner up to get a good photo or video of the origin of the water, so sorry for the bad example. I determined that the water was coming from the corner plastic piece pictured below. It seems to cover the sunroof cable (I think) on both sides (Part #: 6326860010).

Bad image, but you can kind of see the shine of a drip in the circled area and the wet fabric of where the water traveled, marked by the arrow.

Obviously, water is not supposed to get on this piece, but my only guess is that when there is so much water, the channel overfills onto it? Both sides are definitely original and seem a little warped, so my question is: Will replacing them fix the issue? They do not seem to have any sort of seal or moulding on them, so I am unsure if that would fix it. I am thinking about putting some sort of silicone or sealant under it to prevent water from going through the holes they cover. I found a thread on hear a while ago of someone talking about these pieces, but I cannot find it anymore, and in my searching, I found one guy on Reddit suggesting putting sealant under them. Let me know what you all think. Thanks.

I am too new to this forum to edit posts, so for the above paragraph.......... here*

The little piece circled is known to cause that leak. You can search for more details.

Had a similar problem. This was the fix. They had warped up and were cupping, not diverting water the way they were supposed to. I took that piece out, heated it up, flattened it back down and that seemed to fix the issue.

I have since looked around more and found more threads relating to this. I definitely think this is the issue and I have since ordered new ones from the dealership. From what I learned it seems like the later model ones are slightly bigger or have more of a foam seal on the top of them. The dealership said they have them so hopefully that is true.

Also, I have looked at diagrams and part numbers, and the red circle is what I ordered from the dealership "Sliding rood weatherstrip protector" (63268-60010 and 63267-32020). But on another thread (fzj80 leaking sunroof!!!! need help finding a part.. - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/fzj80-leaking-sunroof-need-help-finding-a-part.1362398/post-15957860). A user states the part numbers as "Cover Sliding Roof Guide Rail" (6325560011 and 6325660011) which is the blue circle. Can anyone confirm which part numbers are correct? Thanks.

As I recall and what I would logically conclude is you want the "blue circle". Reason being that the red circle is located more what I would call the glass assembly, not your problem., where the blue circle is the frame assembly.

You are absolutely right. I went to the dealership today and I can confirm that the part number I ordered is not the correct part. Unfortunately, the correct parts are NLA which I probably should have expected. With that being said, I am in the market for those parts if anyone has any extra for sale. I spoke with Lee from Solve Function as I found he was working on a 3D print of them, but he has not started making them yet. In the meantime I am going to try and use butyl or something similar to create my own seals/barriers to prevent any further leaks.

Are you replacing the bottom one with the top? Have you had the new one for a while or did you recently buy it? If you recently bought it please let me know where lol. Thanks
You can purchase these from any local dealer. I replaced mine a couple years ago and sealed the living sh*t out of it

Correct, didn’t realize that
Oh trust me I tried lol. It seems like they became unavailable a few years ago as I found people in this forum talking about buying them in 2022. I guess it’s 3D print, fix as best I can, or find junkyard ones that are better.

You might be able to get @Outsane to come up with a solution for this!

I definitely purchased them in 2023, they must have stopped production
