wow!

Interesting the Costa Rica 25 has a winker switch on the dash but no winkers. It doesn't have a turn signal switch.

The other one with the nice top has winkers but don't see the switch in the middle of the dash. It does have the correct turn signal switch but looks like the wire coming off it is the same as the one going to the winker.:hmm:

Maybe a parts trade between the two would be in order.:idea:

Just noticed the kick vents are missing from the second one. I wonder if that was an option or if they were deleted during the restoration.

The vents were not on the early models. Look at the speedometer. This one is older. The pictures of the five 1956 FJ25s in Peru didn't have them either.

i dig up that peru thread just to dream and drool sometimes! reckon i would damn near swap my entire collection to tackle that!

i like the funky old steer wheel; this is same as peru i believe. i also noted once before that peru has the winker switch; tho in a different location. cant tell with the jerrycans in the old b&w jap pics if these had winkers.

@treerootCO

This one ... I had drooled over this one many times before from pics that Marv took ... I can't recall see these tail lights... The licence plate hangs down unlike what we are custom to seeing

The licence plate hanging down would block our normal tail lights... This one has the plate light with incorperated brake light... This is a very early cruiser... Note the tailgate ... Reminiscent of the BJ Jeep and the Peruvian 25

Wish I was near my flash drive to compare to my other very early cruisers

No, but both the early part number books and current number books list both that style and the round taillights
