I am looking for do my 100k maintenance; therefore I will be doing the fluid changes etc. I am also looking to replace the fill/drain plugs or really just have some handy when I am doing the procedure since sometimes rust and seizing seems pretty common. I was looking @ OEM Parts numbers and everything seems very confusing since nothing really marked as drain or fill and impossible to locate in the Parts Diagrams. I was able to come across cruiser path.com and they sell these kits, i was wondering if these are recommended. I was able to locate these OEM part#s; please let me know what you guys think.

Front/Rear Diff / TRansfer Case Part#s:
Drain Plug Gasket (3) : Toyota Genuine #12157-10010
Copper Gasket (1): Toyota Genuine #90430-24017
Crush Washer (2): Toyota Genuine #90430-A0003
Front Drain Plug (1): Lexus Part#90341-24016 (14mm Socket - instead of the OEM recessed drain plug that tends to get *UCKEDa)
Front Diff Fill Plug (1): Part# 90341-18035
Rear Diff Fill Plug (1): Part# 90341-18021
Rear Drain Plug (1): Part# 90341-18035
Transfercase Fill Plug (1): Part# 90341-18021
Transfercase Drain Plug (1): Part# 90341-18035
KAON Front Fill Plug: https://www.kaon.com.au/front-diff-fill-plug-to-suit-toyota (Ordered)
KAON Drain Plug: https://www.kaon.com.au/front-diff-drain-plug-to-suit-toyota (Ordered)
Amsoil 75w-90 Severe Gear Fluid

Cruiser Patch Kits:
Fill/Drain Front and Rear Diff Kit: OEM Toyota Low-Profile Magnetic Differential Plug Kit (10mm Allen) - https://www.cruiserpatch.com/products/100-series-magnetic-differential-plug-kit-10mm-allen-style?_pos=31&_fid=13a53eb59&_ss=c
Transfer Case Plug Kit: Magnetic Center Differential (Transfer Case) Plug Kit - https://www.cruiserpatch.com/products/100-series-magnetic-center-differential-transfer-case-plug-kit?_pos=36&_fid=13a53eb59&_ss=c

There are differences in the cruiser patch part#s for cruiser patch kit for the front diff drain plug (CP# 90341-24014 vs. Artie Part#90341-24016) and their transfercase part#s (CP# 90341-18057 x 2 vs. Artie Part# 90341-18035 / 90341-18021)

Transmission Part#s:
Transmission Drain/Fill Plug (1): Toyota Genuine #90341-10011
Transmission Gasket (2): Toyota Genuine #35178-30010
Transmission O Ring (1): Toyota Genuine #90301-15004
Transmission Overflow Tube: Toyota Genuine #35125-60230

Also, I understand that there have been numerous threads that I have looked and everything seems a little inconsistent. First, the automatic drain and fill. Some people seem to have 3 - 5 quarts drained, but according to ALL DATA (Mechanics SOftware), it states only 1.4qts. I think I will just purchase 5qts unless someone else has any suggestions. I will not be draining the whole transmission completely so I don't think the recommended 15 its is necessary

Part #s: Toyota Genuine #00289-ATFWS (5qts)

Coolant Flush:
I saw that someone people stated that it required about 16.7L (about 5 Gallons) were used. I just wanted to check with everyones general consensus.
Part#s: Toyota Genuine #00272-SLLC2 (5 Gallon)

Thank you in advance for everyone taking their time to entertain my questions.

Here is what’s in my box, the T-case may have an updated part number as I have both the one pictured and a bag with 90430-18008…. Maybe someone can verify that one for me.

As for the drain plugs. This is what’s in my order spreadsheet and I use these so they should be fine for you, these washer #’s should match that first pic. I will say that I prefer the front diff fill plugs from Kaon but the OEM one is fine if you follow torque specs and hammer slightly on it before removal. That copper washer can be tricky.

If you’re doing your tranny I’d recommend buying a couple extra overflow pipes, they are plastic and easily stripped along with a couple drain plugs so you can have one ready for the last task of checking the level. This will allow you to remove the drain plug with old gasket and grab the new one with new gasket to replace it easily. This is much easier than watching for the correct dripping rate while replacing the gasket.

You want the WS tranny fluid and I don’t recall the exact amount but buy more than you think you need, you should be safe with 5 or 6 unless you’re going multiple rounds to really clean it out.

Coolant is 5 gallons for the entire system and that’s including draining the block. Radiator only you should be ok with 2 gallons I think…. When I did mine I wanna say it was 1.75ish gallons but definitely check me on that before you end up short and have to pull a Red Dawn and pee in that thing.

2 gallons of super long life coolant will do a radiator drain/fill. 5 qts of WS will do a transmission drain/fill on the 8 speed, but get 6 in case you’re sloppy. No need for any new plugs, just the washers. Take the @Artie advice above on everything but peeing in the radiator.

Good how to thread in the FAQs;

I put in an order last October for all the washers and it showed 18008.
I live in so cal so no rust or corrosion to deal with. The hammer trick worked like a charm on the front diff. No roundagons here, I was able to use all the original drain and fill plugs.

Radiator took 1.75 gallons.
8 speed took 4 quarts drain and fill.

Do the Kaon for the rear too?

Do the Kaon for the rear too?
No. The rear OEM is a regular bolt style head instead of the front OEM allen socket head that’s prone to stripping.

If you don't want to spend a lot on the front diff bolts..I got these from Toyota and Lexus dealers.

Lexus dealer: Drain plug (90341-24016)
Toyota dealer: Front Diff Fill Plug (90341-18060)

Both are 14mm hex.

That's great to know that these are available OEM.I guess i got some decisions to make. I like these are oem, but I also like the KAON front diff plugs just because they are so heavy duty and should never give me problems down the road. Especially the have been tried and true by the off-roading aussies.

The part numbers when I googled, none of them are pictured the left. Are both part numbers you posted are of the right?

Are the front and rear fill plugs the same?

but Artie you have it listed as the front diff fill plug / rear diff drain plug / Case fill plug the same... 90341-18035

FYI, 75W-85 is the recommended weight for the front and rear differentials, at least on my ‘19. You might want to confirm you are using the correct oil.

Yes I am aware. It’s been discussed before, and I’ve used it before with great results. So I’m just sticking with. Going from a 75-85 to a 75-90 is really negligent in differences.

Yes I read the thread, are you telling me something? I’m just double checking all the part#s since there seems to be some variation between what someone posted and cruiser patch.

Mine must be because this is what I’m using. I should mention that these are the magnetic ones so the part numbers may not be what’s OEM, hence the Lexus part number for the front diff drain.

Na. No subtle hint. Just trying to line you up on what drain plugs go were, other options available, and experiences from said other options. I’m sure cruiser patch kits are squared away. They’ve got a good reputation and wouldn’t lead you astray.

no problem. I think i have determined that the cruiser patch are the extended magnets that Bryan's thread pointed out. seems like there are multiple options. I've since ordered the KAON ones (fill/drain) and seemed as though it would be a one and done type of replacement instead of wondering if my diff plug is stuck. It still might but less likely since the plug is so heavy duty. The rears i will likely go with cruiser patch. thank you for the recommendations.
