Late Model Seat Frames

I have a set of OEM seats for my 1980, and it would appear that a PO attempted to repair or modify the seat frames in a shoddy fashion. I'm hoping someone here might have the pictures/reference I need or be able to take some photos of their OEM late model seat frames that I can use as a reference for proper repairs.

I've tried scouring the internet but haven't had much luck finding the specific angle/area I need to see. Specifically, it's the angled bracket that connects the upright seatback to the bottom cushion/frame (not the side with the reclining lever).

Yeah, common stress point on these later frames. That joint bends and eventually cracks (hence your po welds). Attaching a pic from last years seat recover project. Luckily was able to bend mine back without a stress fracture. Also, see if this thread has some pics that help….can take others if you need em.

for some reason, I'm thinking 60 series seat frames are very similar if not the same
way back in the late 1980's that piece broke on my 79. I ended up bolting a scab plate on and making that work
