What did you email them? I think you already know Jeff, that they will not sell you a truck. I guess you can try. I know where you can find some (not brand new though), if interested, let me know.
Cheers,

humm, i wonder where they went??

oh, i know:

and the other went to Ontario for a "kit" rebuild...

and of course there is this one:

(that one is not a ex-mine rig)

Oh my gawd! Is that Wayne lurking around? Have you moved yet? (or are you?)
I'm sure I could search another forums for these answers, but I'd rather hear it from the horses mouth.:grinpimp:

It's easy to buy one. Form a business. (mining one or exploration). Get a land claim, to set up shop. Then fork out the $50,000 for a cab chassis. Add the deck, etc.... maybe 70 at your land claim.

Or buy Waynes's

Actually the way to get a LHD, would be to import one from Germany or other European country. But shipping would be tough. And the re-sale prices in Europe will not be a low as Japan. Same with importing one of these from OZ.

The reason the mining trucks are so cheap is because they are damaged soo much when they come out. Broken frames, mashed transmissions. Massive corrosion, been breathing dust.... Every fender is wrinkled. etc.

Look at how much Wayne spent trying to make the PZ nice.

So basically they end up like a big broken ATV at the end of the day...

the move is moving along slowly, we decided to wait till spring to do the big move but i will be down and back a couple times before then setting up shop.
basicly the wife decided to go with her family to Spain in sept so a move just before the snow flew wouldn't be smart espec since she has never lived in the rurals before.
we will move down for 6 months next spring, if she likes it then we sell/rent the house here, if she doesn't then we sell/rent the house down there.

n truer words have been spoken. the ex-mine rigs are a money pit. if all you want is a unlicensed bush pig then they would be a good investment but to get road worthy it takes a huge amount of work and money.

i stumbled across this thread by accident and thought i would say "hi"

cheers M8s
