Yes have use the walking stick up north at our cabin. Too hot in the Phoenix area for me to hike. The switch on the console for the heater was only for a few months on the 81 model according to SOR. From information I got from Johnny the first M is five speed. The C is for the rear swinging doors (ambulance doors). Last M I don't know.

Few yeas ago picked up a PTO and drivelines off a 84 troopy. In a thread it was brought up that the fine spline wasn't original. That doesn't matter except now planning on a five speed. If it was original the length of the non splined tube would help.

This restored 1983 BJ46 above link / picture number 42 shows same heater switch. I am 99% sure my heater set up is from the factory. In fact, other than mine not having the rear jumpers like this blue restore, they appear to be identical in construction.

The other M 'mcM'

Is the light duty suspension afaik ... kinda a city suspension ... soft ride

A bit of a rarity

The rest is as LITP said :)

Johnny VIN plaque trans/axle as H55F K 82.

Does that tell you if it has a rear full floater or just what gearing? Wondering if the lighter suspension had a semi or full floater. Those hub caps make it hard to tell.

I wonder what the vin says on the blue one ... the sticker on the rear is wrong ... it would be 500 or 350 like yours

There were only ones in 83' for the 46

Also I checked... the emblems (on apron) are in the correct places
