Hey fellas,
I’ve been lurking for awhile, but this is my first post here. I’ve got a 1993 imported HDJ80. As the dumb American that I am, driving around every day I basically just have to go with the flow of traffic because I have no idea what a Kilometer is… That said from the research I’ve done on older threads, apparently you can 3D print a gauge face to go over the one that’s currently in the truck that shows both KPH and MPH. I’ve been unsuccessful in finding that file. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks!

Is the gauge face removable from the rest of the cluster? I see a couple screws there, so I'm guessing yes?

I honestly haven’t torn into it, but I would assume that it can be removed. This is the thread that I found that seems like the direction that I will need to go..

The scale is off on that Lockwood face. Look at where the km scale lines up compared to yours.

Thanks man, that’s why I’m having such a hard time finding the right one. I need one that goes up to 180kph for it to work I think…

Looks like the 70 series guys might have what you’re looking for

Why not just get and use a GPS instead of messing with your gauge cluster? Unless you have surgeon like skills, there's a high probability of doing damage to your very fragile cluster. A GPS is also more accurate, even when changing tire size. Just the opinion from an old fart who's owned his '94 for 25 yrs and "upgraded" it many times including tire sizes.

We need Ludicrous Speed !

yup from prius all the way to ludicrous

Yes the plate is removable from those screws, but a new face still leaves your odo in kms. Why not get a usdm face from a part out and the correct cable gear at the transfer case?

good point but in a 93 all you have to do is swap it out, don't even need to worry about the gear as its electronic. Replace those capacitors too while your in there, those are leaking and taking out speedometers left and right. Only problem with swapping the speedometer is that the timing belt warning system also gets slowed down and now comes on based on miles instead of KM. Best to rely on your records for that anyway. does take some effort to "correct" the mileage though.
