About to tear into my 85's front axle to fix the leaking knuckles and not too sure on which kit to get. What I've seen are marlin, trail gear, and all pro. Any reason to go with one over the other, all are around the same price. Just going to get the seals since my bearings seem to be fine (going get replaced when I do longs and gears is the plan). Thanks for any help

Marlin's just came off sale...

You might wanna think about replacing your brakes while you're in there...

Just FFT... I don't think you'll have to rework anything if you just go w/ 4cyl IFS calipers and FJ60 vented rotors...

I go with Marlins Kit since he is a strong supporter of events and a member of MUD and a really neat guy who will assist anybody who is broke down on the trail.

Yup... That and his axle seals... That are included with his re-seal kit.

I would go with Marlin as well (and have) as he uses high quality bearings, etc. I would also use his upgraded axle seal but I don't think it comes standard with the rebuild kit. IIRC, the rebuild kit doesn't include an axle seal as standard so that you can have the choice of the OEM seal or his upgraded seal.

Definitely go Marlin, great quality, reasonable prices, and great customer support if you ever need the help from them.
Shoot, all the Toyota 4X4 shops I've been to (chiefly Mudrak's and Yodman's) use Marlin seals standard in their axle rebuilds.

I used trail-gear once. Never again. I had previously used a Man-A-Fre kit and felt the difference in quality was extreme, and was severely disappointed.

Although, I have used marlins ECO Seals on my transfercase when i installed the 4.7 kit... It leaked like a BP oil well, so i put OEM back in and no more leakys. I couldn't see anything wrong with marlins seal, except for where my seal puller grab it...
