Hi,

Iam about to tackle my starter and I am replacing the knock sensors too. I have a 2000 LX470 with a mfg date of 05/2000. I am getting both of these part numbers from Lexus:

1)89615-52010
2)89615-22030

Cruiser Patch has this info.

I am not sure what to go with. I cannot find any good detailed pictures to see if there are differences. I also have not started the job so I do not have my hands on the sensors. Anyone know which part number I should go with?

EDIT:

Actually Cruiser patch has some detailed pictures of 89615-22030. So Maybe I will just wait till I get my hands on the sensor. I was really hoping to not have to wait for any shipping. I hate having the truck down for fixing longer than it needs to be.

Call your local dealer and give them your VIN to get the correct P/N. Then order somewhere else, as desired.

Your knock sensors are likely 100% undamaged. You’ll want to replace the knock sensor plugs by denpinning and repinning and can identify those part numbers by looking at small raised numbers on the plugs.

Thank you! I will leave in the sensors and I have new connectors coming. All the connectors in the valley are being replaced. Very old and very brittle.

I had a rodent chew thru the harness for the knock sensor, I was able to buy the harness 1999 LC

Knock Sensor Connector 90980-11166

Knock Sensor Wire Lead 82998-12440
For info, the knock sensor connector is the same for both knock sensor part numbers and is exactly what I needed. They use to be gray and now are white.
