last time I used just the wire cable and dented the doorso I pulled from the frame... so went easy this time last time I had fender I find the pics

Good video! Random fact- Doubling your line length doesn't double the 'output' of the winch, it just doubles the area over which the winch does the same amount of work.

Maybe this video will be good to get some kids interested in simple machines in the classroom?

Well I think I said doubles the rated out put of the winch .. Not the winches out put ... Clear as mud right

Good video! Random fact- Doubling your line length doesn't double the 'output' of the winch, it just doubles the area over which the winch does the same amount of work.

There are two factors actually,
It doubles the effective output of the winch by adding a pulley (simple physics)

And, because you have fewer wraps on the winch drum itself, you are increasing the pull strength. Remember, a warn 9.5 TI has a 9500 lb pull strength at the bottom wrap of rope, but only has a 6940 lb pull strength on wrap #5. Again, simple physics, but something people do not think that much about.

You didn't mention to make sure the truck is still in gear or park before righting the truck. Sucks when the truck takes off down the hill once it is back on all 4s..

I did the video was 45 min long when I sent it In To be edited. I guess our camera work sucked and alot of the stuff I did didn't make it to the end ... I think I may re-redo it again my self and hit all the points again

whay to do for those that don't have complete roll cage .. ?

If you look at the pic I showed doin it off the top of the frame it works but the truck slid some first ... With out a cage that would better cause the top would smash flat after roll over damage if it wasn't allready. On your cage I would still go he the b piller and wrap around the joint it's still stronger... I hope you never find out...again once is enough right

Aye, that may be a little much for these youngsters, but thinks for winching that thought up!
