i'm sure to some people it might seem that i spoil my kids. sure, i try. my childhood was good but there was stuff we had to do without. i want my kids to have a better childhood, filled with fond memories and experiences. so i work my ass off to make that happen. and i also make sure that they appreciate and respect what they have. if they're interested in something or take a liking to an activity, then i'll do my best to support that. isn't that what parenthood is about?
i've seen many of you guys do the same thing so i know we're on the same wave length. that's why this thread is in the CL forum and nowhere else.

did I ever tell you that I am also a Preacher?:D:

Every morning on our way to school I preach to my kids:
good behavior
respect others
always smile
don't get upset if things dont come out the way we plan
things will fall into place at the right time and in the right place
always make the best of your day
and don't let anybody take the joy of life even when things in front of you dont look so good.
Don't look at the problem, always look for the anwser to the problem.

These are the things that I want my kids to learn, since they dont teach this at schools.

Fond memories?

As a family we have a lot of them, but Moab this summer will be unforgetable!:grinpimp:

We will never forget that trip and the ones to come with this bunch!

This thread is way too sappy.

How about a few posts about your kids snapping the end off your fishing rods, or them wrecking your gold cart or making a D in spelling....

F'ing kids.....:D

you kid lovers need my monsters for a month...

f'ing kids.

Chris I pass on the deal

and dont feel bad, they'll grow up sooner than you think and they'll be out of the house.

on my first post I said they were for sale.

My thought is if we want our kids to succed we need to give them the tools and show them how to use them.

If the kid got a low grade on school, sit your sorry ass and help him.

I am sure you can spell, right Nolen?

ohhh, i busted abby for lying one time and then she denied it, coming up with another lie in an attempt to cover it up. she got a smack on the ass for that one. one and only time i've done it. did'nt like it. sucked. but she got the point.

and to say that garrett is "head strong" would be an understatement. :o

nobody's kids are perfect. except for mine.

can't wait for them to be teenagers. maybe i'll end up looking like nolen. although by then they'll have something to prevent hair loss.

I know I'm a little late on the pic, but seeing the dinosaurs and pumpkins I couldn't resist!

awesomeness Sheila.....do yall hit certain neighborhoods or what? I used to walk the "avenues" growing up in Laurel but there is NO WAY I would let Elizabeth loose in a neighborhood without me....even a gated one.

We go to a friend's house that lives in a neighborhood. Varies from year to year. We live on an 8 house street so we obviously don't have anything going on here! We end up with a group of trick or treaters, a pot luck type deal for dinner, and chaos at bed time! Lol!

Lovin this thread!

Tolufsen voice "that is awesomeness right there"!!!!!

I don't know... I think Garrett with the giant Dino head was "awesomeness" myself! Mason was a green Dino very similar a few years ago.
Now we gotta be a ninja. Takes after his daddy.

So this weekend I need to go to Santa Cruz to pick up an FJ60. It's right up the coast from Monterey. I'm gonna take the kids with me since the weather is supposed to be great. Might as well make a fun day out of it. ;)

Not sure on the weather bro, but have a fun trip nontheless.

Enjoy those little trick-or-treaters! Great pics you guys!
My "little" one is allready done with all that.
My dad caught me playing with a stolen matchbox b52 bomber I pocketed from Woolworth one day. He held both my hands down on the butcher block table and rested the cold blade of the meat cleaver on my wrists. He asked if I would ever steal again. That was the last time I ever stole anything. Except a few hearts here and there hehe ;)
I am so blessed with Larissa, she never ask's for anything, and is so happy and content with what she has.
Not a "material" kid at all.

Wonder if I'll ever find out who her father is?

A good weekend to all of you, have a great time with your little ones.

Lunch with my favorite crazy little girl. At this very informative lunch, baby girl told me she believes she has a waaaaaay better sense of humor than me!
