Hohum...Looks like another good trip.
What happened to the clean no sticker look on the Cruiser?

Just read the ARB thread. Sierra Expedition is a sponsor - and I'm guessing the others are too.

Went riding up there 2 years ago....Those damn goat paths they call trails darn near killed me. Great camping though and yes, the drive up sucked! Was pulling a trailer and even in my now sold '03 Tundra still was not fun.

That place looks nice. It's been on my list of places to camp for years but I have never made it........someday soon I hope.

There were some fires burning nearby right? I know just South near Lake Isabella was one and wasn't there another to the North?

Oh and congrats on the Trasharoo write up in Overland Journal. I was bummed last issue when you were left out of all the vendor shots from the big Overland Get Together.

Sweet pics! Love your rig. I can't wait to slap my Trasharoo on my spare when I get the 80. It will be transplanted from my FJC ;) Mike (Funjunkie) hooked up the group buy for us over on socall forums.

Where are the pictures of the fish Dave? :hillbilly:

Did you guys go up nine mile canyon, or up through Kernville?

I didn't catch a damn thing - yet again! Either did my fly fishing buddy thats a seasoned pro. I think its time for me to go back to a lake damnit.

No 9 mile canyon for us... heck no. We cut across from the 178 just east of Isabella and took a cross country fire road that connects to Kennedy Meadows rd up on top. Much more scenic and no people :)

On the way home we went up over Sherman then dropped down into the north fork and Johnsondale bridge. Then headed back home that way.

Good times, glad to see you on the 80's section of the board.

Im leaving tonight for a hike up Piute pass out of North lake (Bishop area). Going to see if we can pull the old "Sierra Slam" up there. Ill post a pic of me with a fish so you can photoshop your head in and tell people you caught em. :D
