I just bought a 67 FJ45LB for $5300 in Wyoming. It looks to be in pretty good shape. It has little rust and no holes. Complete less tailgate. Sound like a decent deal? It comes with the stock trans/transfer and a 78' trans/transfer. I'll have it in a couple of weeks. I hope I'm not divorced by then for doing this. Feedback??

I was looking at that one...nice looking rig. Congrats

BTW...If it was worse for wear, I'd say mod it, but it really looks pretty clean, so I'd sell off the '78 trans/transfer, and put the cash into getting that tailgate, and keeping it stock.

I think your right. It does look pretty solid. I'd like to put a floorshift and some upgraded brakes, that's probably it. Buying site unsean is crazy, but it's a 45, why the f not. Not too many around. Now my 55 has a stepchild.

Thanks for the Congrats. I'll take lots of pictures. Can't wait to actually have it in my driveway. Do you think I should put a floorshift? I wanted to keep original, but do want to drive it. I do want to upgrade the brakes to front disc. I have a front disc axle on my 55 now that I'm replacing with a 62 front axle. That should work great. All I need is the master and booster. That's about it. I might put a 2-1/2" OME lift like Dom did on his. Looks awesome. Other than that, the tractor motor will stay(I have a V8 in my 55). I'll post more when it gets here.
Later all. It's nice to be with the "elite" now.

I'd like to see the face on the guy who tries to rob a column shift cruiser  Besides, you get to sit three up front! Try it first, then decide.

If you do the brakes, you'll also need an adapter to clear the rib on the firewall. Mark has a solution that can make it a dual circuit, and non booster, which is something I am thinking of doing to mine...just as long as I can easily get it back to a single...the booster will bring the master very close to the carb...or so I've heard.

Dean,
Good thinking on the three up front. I'm not used to a 1 row rig being a long time 55 owner. I had a three on the tree in high school, and it was actually pretty cool. People would look over at me and say"why is he putting it in Park when he's driving?" I definitely want to be able to put it back to original with any mod that I do. Gots to keep the value. Send me any info you get on that solution you mentioned. thanks for all the tips!

Pictures as it sits in Wyoming

Here's pics of it as I saw it online. It should be loading on a truck mid next week.

I think you you got a hell of deal. This one was posted a while back, it was found in pole barn and used around the farm. I say drive it just make sure you adjust the brake every now and then. Congrates

WOW...that's cool and...

.....I'm beginning to feel like a thief! :) You're gonna have your hands full for a while but if you pretend it's boobs while you're working on it you'll feel much better.

I bought a '67 LV a few days ago and I don't have near as much work ahead of me. $ ?....don't ask..........:o
