I'd be all over that but my little girl turns 1 on the 21st and I don't think it would go over very well.

We'll be going again so no worries. It's a fun trip in the winter. I think it was -20 degrees on the bald and every fluid we had froze in ealry March. :D

Hope you can make it next time!!!

I hope to make it this winter too. You guys have fun and take a bunch of pics.

hey man jeeps are allowed........ you are more than welcome to come

Then I shall try to come!

You said a stock Cruiser will be fine...so Im guessing my TJ running on 31's will have no problems?

Whats the cost involved?

yeah you should be fine with your TJ. As far as the costs that are involved the only thing you will have to pay is for the gas to get to Cullowhee NC from where ever you will be coming from and also you will have to provide your own food for the trip, but other than that there are no "costs" for attending the ride.

Well then, looks like I may be attending! I can probably round up a 4runner guy as well (his runner aint pretty, but it gets the job done)

I live in hickory, so Im not too far from 'whee.

cool man glad to hear it, just keep eye on this thread we will be posting meeting times and places in the next week or two.

look forward to meeting you
JP

I might be able to come. Would it be ok for a 1stgen runner to join in the ride?

Alright Guys and Gals the trip up to beautiful Cullowhee is fast approaching so I thought it'd be a good time to get the plan out there for everyone.

The trip will last from Friday July 21 through Sunday July 23 and we will be doing roughly 30 miles of easy to moderate trails, this is a "non-breakage" trip, but there is the posibility for some "east coast" pin striping. With that said here are the specifics............

MEETING PLACE AND TIME: will be East Laport, NC it is located just south of Cullowhee, NC on highway 107. In East Laport the is a BP gas station called Moonshine Mini Mart, this is where we will be gassing up and meeting. Directly next to the Moonshine Mini Mart is a public park, if there is not enough room at the Mini Mart will move to the park; it is in clear view of the gas station.

There will be two meeting times scheduled to try to accomiedate those coming.

Early group:
meeting at 2PM Friday afternoon
led by ClemsonCruiser (JP Virgo) cell# 706 394 7045

Late group:
meeting at 7PM
led by Cruiser4life (Andy Smith) Cell# post it up if you want andy..........

those will be the two meeting times, each group will wait roughly 30-45 minutes for anyone running late, but please try to show up on time. If you miss one of these group meeting times you will not be able to catch up the remoteness of the area will not allow it, also we will not have cell service once we leave East Laport.

ON THE RIDE.........
We will be in a remote area on the Nantahala Natl. Forrest and once in on the trails depending on how far in we are we will be several hours from civilization. So bring whatever you will need to get through 3days in the wilderness, because once we are in we won't be coming out until Sunday morning. There will be no where to get gas or food once we leave town, so plan accordingly.

okay I think that is enough basic info to get everyone going for now, please post up which group you will be riding in with, so that we know who to expect and when.

This is going to be a great trip, I know everyone will love it............. look forward to seeing you all there

JP, it's not looking good for me right now. If i can get Jason to drive and ride with him i may attend. I still have not had a chance to dig into my front axle to see what is clanging around in there.

I'm down, but not out. . . .

bummer man............ you need to get Jason to come, Andy was telling me that his 80 is locked and supercharged........ that is bad ass.

hope you guys can make.

Yeah Jason, what good is that SC'd, fully locked 80 doing riding around the asphalt in G'boro?

Pack it up and come along!!!!

After talking to Alex and Jason tonight, I am wanting to find a way to go....will have to see what we can come up with.

If you can get there, there should be extra seats available to ride. I think I rode solo for all 3 trips in March as did most other folks.

it def. will be worth the effort:beer:.......... the scenery and grandeur of this ride are something very hard to come by especially on the east coast now a days.

hope you and your wife can make it
