Can. Of. Worms.

It will all get painted now that you put your toe in that water

Looks awesome.

Might as well, that looks nice.

And somehow, over the course of the weekend, in between all the other activities, Jrob found some time to fab up a bunch of other stuff under the hood.

ARB compressor:

Power steering fluid cooler and radiator overflow bottle:

And 'OEM like' front bumper brackets (these were actually done a few weeks ago, but I didn't get pics before the bumper was mounted):

And one more, just in case anyone is interested, this is not the right MF'ing fuel tank for a 4/77 FJ-40:

RE: your air lockers...

I just got an email from Marlin Crawler saying that the 90-degree solenoid exhaust fittings are back in stock. I've ordered a set and they're on the way.

You might consider these since everything is squeaky clean under the hood - these will keep it that way. This lets you route the solenoid exhaust away from the pretty stuff.

Even with a fresh ARB install, I've still gotten gear oil mist sprayed from the solenoid all over everything around it. If the seal in the locker starts to fail (and it will eventually) it only gets worse.

Jrob and Bodean, I'm a broken record here, but there's really nothing else to say other than a sincere THANK YOU. Another long weekend, and, after the right angle drill handed me my ass Saturday afternoon and then subsequently finding out that the new tank didn't fit, my attitude went south in a hurry. Thanks for tolerating my bull****.

I feel like the end is at least in sight, and I welcome it...I'm ready to work on someone else's s*** for a while.

That's cool...so you just use the regular air line and route these under the truck somewhere out of the engine bay?

Thanks for posting this.

Affirmative.

I wish I had known about these when I first installed the ARBs.

They've been back ordered since I "discovered" them. I haven't seen them anywhere else either.

Lately, I've keep a rag tied around the solenoid. That works great, just ain't as pretty.

You guys are going awesome work. I'm just a douche who doesn't come help or even heckle anymore but will be looking for help on Dat Ass real soon. I suck.:flush:

You guys are amazing. I can't get motivated to wipe my own butt and you guys are racing through this awesome build.

Feeling old as hell right now...

You guys are amazing.

We welded on the cage until about 7:30 last night and had to stop because the O2 tank was empty. We put the cap on the tank, threw it in the back of Jrob's truck, and I headed home. I get a call from Jrob a little while ago...turns out he had to run to the grocery last night. SOB runs by the shop on the way back, grabs a new tank, and welds for a couple more hours once he got back home.

Amazing? Between s*** like this and Bodean making the trek back and forth across the county multiple times per week, yes, I'd say they are definitely amazing.

Impressive work gentlemen!

Cage and Jrob FAB seat frame fully welded, wire wheeled, sanded, cleaned, and primed:

Where are all the pics from last night? This SOB will be rollin' soon! Thanks for the words JT but you know we love doing this stuff! Hell I was begging to do some work on it a few weeks ago. I know have learned a lot during this build. Enjoyed every minute! Can't wait to see you wheeling this beast!

Oh well, you beat me to the pics! Nice!

JT says he doesn't care bout painitng it but the more he looks at it I bet that will change! ha!

FINE (the 40 that is)

I know you have more pics from last night. ARB's work, seats and Tuffy mounted. Waiting on the gas tank (today) and install the drive shafts and JT will be able to drive this beast! It's not mine but I'm excited to see it finally go down the road! It's been a lot of fun helping on this truck. Learned a lot and had fun along the way. That's what this is all about right?
