ICON Car.......Rob Wilder got it in some crazy trade from a guy in CA. Apparently he wanted to go back to jump seats.....now I have jump seats in great condition in storage for when my girl is older and for now I have a rockin back seat!

price was one Cannondale Mountain bike Furio....that I never road and Rob was in the market for.

Awesome. Sell the jump seats to some purist. I would not even make Lenny ride in a jump seat, much less a child I love.

Nolan you dont remember? im a purist I just dont have a purist truck! ill probably hang onto them for now....it's instant cash if I need it though as is the rebuilt Aisin by Mark

Nolen, I have a Heep seat for ya!

I would get it if I ever thought my kids would see the back of this 40 :p

Don't worry they can...through the body. ;p

We are getting ready for seatbelt install but still debating on how to do anchor points.

Elizabeth is also unsure on whether we should leave the HUGe trailor hitch or cut it off since the bumperettes and other contraption are gone.

We also cut the rubber floor mat to fit the feet of the bench too.

The saga of the DUI that wouldn't fire continues.

1. Ran new 12 gauge wire straight into it...no ballest resisitors or anything...just 12 volts
2. multimeter checked hot wire, coil, etc. and all had appropriate ohms going to them according to DUI specs
3. Rob and I installed the DUI using TDC and making sure it was lined up with the oil pump and that the wires were in the proper firing order.
4. gas in the tank, to the carb etc.

is there some relay switch or other ignition point I can check?? at a total loss and really frustrated with it right now.

Remind me, was it not cranking when you installed this?

cranking fine until I broke the wire carrying current to the stock dizzy....I was removing the cap to check the points and rotor for ware and determined it was time to rewire/buy a DUI.

I feel like Rob and I cut out all options but the DUI itself.....which isnt creating spark....but it seems to be getting power to it...

Will it turn over?

Starter Turns over fine (its new)

Nolan, Rob and I think its bad but I can't get anywhere with what part. Coil seems to be getting power.

Refresh my memory (someone that knows), will the truck still turn over but not crank if the fusable link is bad? Can't recall.

Jeff, if the fussible link is bad it shouldn't turn over, if it's wired right, bc it's designed to be a stop gate when the harness is overloaded....it burns the bridge between the battery and the entire wiring harness......that is my understanding....ill check that tonight along with rechecking ground wires.

good info. and pic on them http://www.madelectrical.com/catalog/fusible-link.shtml

Fusable link has no break in it. Starter turns right over. I'm about to haul it to the shop. This pretty weather is worth the shop fees to drive it. Ugh.

If you want to come take a look at how my DUI is wired, feel free. I can't remember much about the install since it was a while back and was pretty easy other than a bad ground issue.

Thanks I may do that. Andy has one also but his is older, like dinosour older!
