fuel pressure regulator that went on (also at his suggestion) after I put the stock fuel pump back on.

Must be required for your carb? How is it currently set?

yeah weber 38.....it helps keep the carb from flooding.

we set it at 2 (trail setting) all the way to max at 5 (highway) and it didn't effect it.

I think Rob is coming over tomorrow after work and we will trouble shoot it.

I only have to come up with a good idea every year or two because my truck is the "s***"! I don't screw with it and it has given me many years of trouble free service. Plus I had the right guy working on it in the beginning. You are just a hater Lash!

Not a hater. Just jealous.

lash all you need is paint.

FYI thats the stuff that keeps rust away.

:D:D:D:D:D my paint job won't be like the purdy truck but atleast it will still be a truck in 2 years and not a rust bucket:grinpimp:

Lash you can do a rattle can job...my interior wasn't hard and was good practice for doing the outside.....the plan is to be a 50 footer...if you have had a six pack, have bad vision and are looking through a coke bottle

having said all that....ive never seen you rig in person though

Driving around the neighborhood

Well who wodda thunk it was the new fuel regulator!!!!

Rob Wilder comes over and in 2 minutes has it running like a top, minus the time to go get a new regulator.

We broke the line starting at the carb and worked our way back and on the fuel pump side of the brand new regulator we had good fuel flow!!!!! so thanks to Rob, Nolan doesn't get the pleasure of watching me light it on fire and roll it down the driveway.

I got to roll the neighborhood for the first time on Jeff's hand me down shoes and also listen to my cd player for the first time.

AWESOME!!!! Thanks to Rob for helping the newbie realize the only part he had put on the truck didn't work (granted it was brand new)

Also learned all my vin plates match and that I need another vacuum line.......It's been said alot but what a great group of cruiser lovers.....Rob works on vehicles ALL day and comes over here instead of going home to the family to help me out.....YOU ROCK DUDE (oh and riding in your truck was pretty damn cool too)

Glad to see you doing some driving..I see less webwheeling in your future.

There won't be a paint job on the Gun Runner (lash) any time soon. Great story about that special truck that you need to hear John. Get Lash to tell you over beer one night.

you are wise Sir

I heard it last night with Andy in the parking lot. It wasn't technically over a beer, but we had just had a few:D but yeah it's a great story.

I told Lash he wins the "Ill never sell my truck argument" and his reply was that his son is getting it....TO COOL

I plan on driving it a looooong time. So, my grandkids might get it. God willing...

Great news on a running Cruiser, John. But, I must remind you that I called the regulator as the issue at the end of the last page. Well, kinda.
Good work Rob!

No problem. I'm glad I could help. Sometimes the simplest thing can take the longest to diagnose when your new at it. I was pretty much born with a wrench in my hand and actually enjoy working on cars so don't feel bad. I have no problem helping out another cottonlander. It gives me a chance to share some knowledge and tips.

not sure but it was $5 and the one Rob told me to get was $27

and works

You get what you pay for. The one you had had plastic screw in nipples. That pretty much sums up the quality of the part.

yeah I learned more in 10 minutes than I had in 4 days of reading on mud and attempting to trouble shoot it myself.
