The amount of metal replaced filled a zip lock sandwich bag. Not alot of rot in my truck. I used to car wash it every week and it really has been off the road for close to 10 years.

Yep. I last drove it to work when my son was born and he's gonna be 10 in march. I didn't want to drive it in the salt winters anymore so i picked up a Toyota Mini 4X4. The inspection ran out on the 60 and it sat in my mom's garage for like 5 years. Got the itch to resurect it almost 5 years ago.

All transfer case shifters are not created equal!
One on left was on the rebuilt transfer case i put in and had problems shifting it.
One on right was the original shifter that was in my 87.
I believe that one will shift much much easier.

Yeah, different part #s, changing at 4/85, but I've never seen the difference... Thanks for the pix!

Thanks guys. 
At the present time i am not far from engine fire up. I made a two piece shroud. I have been waiting for the weather to warm up so i can paint it but after looking at the s***ty forecast for next week, i went and dropped it off at powder coater. I want to get shroud all mounted so i can put top rad hose on and fill the system with the juice.
Reworked overseas air cleaner to accept dizzy vent VCV.
Rex at Coolstream hooked me up with a/c set up.
Rad and condenser in..

Bead blasted it and dropped it off at SDL powdercoat.

It should make it so much easier just removing top half to adjust and change belts, get to fan, etc.

It definitely does. When I split my FJ62 shroud I used two little spring clips to hold it together, painted the edge, and put some rubber weatherstripping on the edge so it wouldn't rattle. It was fine.
