i am trying to get freindly guys out to wheel and have a good time.
hope you dont feel hatefull to all the newcomers in the sport, the past had nothing to do with me, this is now let us move on.
oh and Craig no hard feelings
i dont even know ya

Ps (pam, I thought you guys were already members as you’ve been around the club a while longer than I have been…)

Have been around the club for awhile, but not close enough (geographic) to be a paying member. Have in the past enjoyed the DSR as previously stated. Hoping to have the 40 done by next summer, and would like to possibly make FN, but that is a LOOONNGGG trip from here. But maybe DSR will be more possible.

I didn't mean to start any trouble here, just maybe bring a few things to light.

IF I was closer I would volunteer to chair the FN event. Have put on several events for the M715 Zone and enjoyed doing it, but I think location is key here.

Thanks to everyone for allowing me to lurk. For the most part everyone has been really helpful with the questions that I have asked as my truck has progressed. Working on the engine install the past few weeks.

Thanks again.
Pam

You didn't... I did and I knew this come up. It needed to be aired out and rather here then at a meeting with everyone there. I'm serious about wanting to support the park as a club for the reasons stated above. I knew there was some bad blood. Who, what, when, whereand why are not my business and occurred before I was member of TAC Duane was on the board at K-Rock.

Duane, Pam and others have posed some very good concerns that current members need to be aware of.

Now, on to meeting agenda business :D

Someone just start a big group hug. Listen, when I started, Eric Butler got me into this and then he never did come to anything. Some of the group are friendlier at first than others. I have not seen anyone who is mean. I was feeling a little outside the group, but I am so outgoing that I sort of forced myself in a few situations. Some of the old crew needs to ask newbies to help and not assume that anyone knows anything about how we do something or who is in charge. We are all big boys and girls, but everyone wants to feel that they are a part of something. Die hard LC people can get so techincal and historical, that they kind of scare new people off. If you are at an event, speak up. I agree that we need name tags. I have been in sales my entire life and I suck at names...that might be why I'm broke :) The other thing I notice is that when an idea gets started in the middle of a thread, it takes a little too long for it to become its own thread. If you don't surf enough, you can miss stuff. I will try to help more if you want. I am worried that I travel so much I don't want to let anyone down. PEACE OUT!

Erik, sure hope things take a turn for the better, we'll be sending the good vibe.

Craig, still sorry about the 60. Hope this doesn't affect your perception of The purple and/or tacomas. If it's any consolation, you're the first hawker I've met that I'd consider a great person. I still can't believe your imaginary friend Eric (a tiger!) was present, and also a great guy!

Matt, do you want us to email you pictures for the calender? I look at mine everyday and would love another one. Or, if we have a mini meeting, we could look over a bunch and go from there. I may be coming to topeka in the near future, I'll let you know. Also, I was serious when I mentioned you taking on Pres for another year. :D

So what date in Jan are we thinking?

Meeting date depends on what we find out for a meeting room. if there's a date that won't work for anyone post up....right now it's wide open.

I was hoping some one would like to do the calender...I'm shooting for getting a newsletter out right now...if I did a cali now it would probably look like a 3yr old did it (I'm crafty with crayons). Gary and Elizabeth have moved out of the area...they may still want to do it but I have not contacted them about it yet.

J - stop by when your in town.

If you happen to contact them, see what they think. I'll also check to see if our new computer at home has the program for this. I bet Kris would be good at this (or could at least help me if Gary & Elizabeth are too busy).

I'll let you know when I'm in t-town.

The calendars are pretty straightforward. I believe they used www.shutterfly.com to put the whole thing together, so you shouldn't need any special software at home. Biggest issue is gathering pics (the higher resolution ones are a must).

"Let me jump up on my soapbox for a minute...... I would like to see TAC plan an event or plan to attend an event as a club run at Kansas Rocks, and here's why."

It was my idea that the Wichita 4x4 Club adopt an area of K-rocks. We go then 4 times a year. Spend the mornin pickin up what little trash there is an trimmin brush an trees. After leuch the most generaly is plenty time for wheelin. Ya'll can come along the next time, we were there last Sept. 15th.
I have bought an anual pass evey year the park has been open. Really prefer it over Tuttle.
We are not goin to the Toy Run this year. There are only so many weekends and are havin our Christmas party that Sat. Might go to Frost bite in Feb. Missed it last year.
C Ya, Don

I'll be gone a majority of the month of January... I'd only be available the 5th and maybe the 12th if my flight doesn't get pushed up.. February looks good though...

I don't have to go to the meeting so whatever is better for everyone else.

Maybe your all so stuffy cuz your in your garages so much and your all so damn old!!!??? Just a thought!!??
