sorry for the noobie question, but what kind of tires are those?

I don't know exactly, but the pattern is very similar to the Sears Gaurdsman (don't know who made them) in 10-15 that I ran in the early 80's.

Of course, the ones in the pics would be 16's.

if I'd still lived in va they'd be mine... alas I don't so they won't be :( I'd still love to score a 25...

does the one on the right look like it?

not sure how to translate the tire/rims size:

they are calling it an 5.70-8, that seems very small

Is he going to throw in the leather covered fj25 manuals and literature? Seems like he would for $5k ;).

If that what it takes to get them for everyone, maybe I'll sell off a kidney. We'll see. ;)

Isn't a skid steer the same thing as a BobCat? They are little tires. They are the front end loader thingies that drive with two handles you push forward or back, or one forward, one back to turn.

yea, but most skid steer tires are 26 to 30something inch dia.

The tires just look like old bias snow tires that everybody ran in the winter time back in the sixties and seventies. The last 40 I bought only had one tire with any thread left and it's this type of tire. Old chevy trucks came with 16" wheels so I'm sure they made them in 16".

If the other 25 is anywhere close to this one they are worth $5,000.00. I wonder if they come with any canvas tops cause my wife told me if I bought another one I would be sleeping in it. :frown: If they were about half as far away I probably be interested. To hard to tow two at one time. :crybaby: What happen to Phil I thought he was trying to corner the market.

IIRC the other 25 is a basket case, but it may be different from the one I remember. It was in a fire.

That's exactly what James told me about his '58. It's a crispy-critter with some salvagable hard parts.

As far as the manuals go, he said wants to offer the first right of refusal on buying the manuals to whoever buys the trucks. He didn't say they'd be included in the asking price, but I'm sure that could be negotiated.

He also has this for sale...

All I ever wanted was a decent transmission :crybaby: I kept dragging home dogs with rusted/no/chevy trannys, so I reduced the fleet to match the good gearboxes  ... Cruiser Chick"s happy now....me too

I havent seen it in person, but I have more pics if interested. It sure does look clean. Runs and drives and does have OME suspension on it, allegedly the first OME suspension on a 45LV in the USA.

I just do the shell game trick. Keep them covered with camo tarps and keep moving them around. If I brought in another one I don't think she would know :D

John

I would never buy anything from that guy!
