That's some articulation you got there. Were you in 4 Lo to get up that hill?

Yes 4 low center locked as any stock truck. Diff lockers not used, even with right/left tires on ice versus pavement.

Thats cause I conciously restrained...I think I even started to post and said f-it....ill be nice today.

But since its game on...

Did you have to remove your sway bars for that? No, stock truck, no running boards, and spare in garage until I find a 5th 265/75R16.

Do you have any pics of the suspension so I can see how its holding up? This is all I have underneath

I believe cheap advance auto rear shocks were put it a couple years ago. I'm looking at 2.5" lift down the road.

What mods have you done to get that kind of flex? Not much, I wanted to see what it'd do before taking it to the badlands.

whew.....now I feel better.

This is the same positioning, but the rear mudflaps and trailer hitch hit.

Gee man you should have bought 33 inch tires. 295/75/16. They work well, especially after a lift. Maybe even 305s or 315s. Those are my next tires for mu lifted 80.

33's will be the next set. These 32's were off my dad's 2008 FJ Cruiser he just bought - too loud for his grocery getter.

Wicked awesome!!!

I hate to do this but I have a couple more questions then im done!

Can you measure the height of that snow mound? I need something to reference, also I want to find a similar height mound by me, to try to acheive equal performance.

Do you have any video of the rig climbing it, so I can see what throttle to use and to see how the vehicle in general reacts?

Awesome! Maybe someday I will be able do some serious wheeling. Though if I had an fzj80 It would make even the biggest snow mounds seem easy.

Wrong..... you won't be able to resist.

Wow John.

If you get an 80 can I ride with you?

All I have is an old 4runner

Do 4runners wheel good?

Im thinkin of runnin a turbo with 84 psi boost on a stock 20r

Quad cases all with 8.93:2 low range gears

8 speed automatic with B&M ratchet shifter

7.29:1 axle gears

31x10.5x18 street treads

9" coil over leaf springs lift

Racing stripes & chrome fenders

Interrnal & external cages

Tube doors & spare tire on the roof

Full race steering wheel

Padded ash tray

2 clocks ( in dash custom mount)

Tach on the hood

Blue neons underneath (maybe red)

I think I could maybe, just maybe keep up with some of the 80 guys then
Except Joe, of course

Way to dash my hopes & dreams

Guess i'll cancel my order for those neons

It snowed?? I locked the center diff and did my normal 60mph to work that week.

Dude!

Thats awesome!!

Is your truck stock?

What size tires are those?

Did you need to use your lockers? (I heard some fj80's came with stock lockers...is that true?)

Do you have any other pics?

About how high was that snow mound?

That wasn't locked but yes I have lockers front and rear stock, 35's Good Year Duratracts and 4.88 gears. OME 2.5 medium lift. If you click on the link in my sig about my intro thread it kind of goes through my build process. I'm 6'5" and I had to jump back in the rig after I took the pick, The driver side was higher in the air and I would say the floor was about 5'-6' in the air.

I have other pics but they are all on Facebook.

Yup the LC is an addiction

Im sure it is!!! Id be hooked on being able to climb wicked snow mounds! Im sure I wouldnt even make it to work. Every mall id pass id have to pull in and climb some mounds.

Are fj80's factory locked? Ive always heard debate back and forth about this, but never got a clear answer. I figured I could get the answer from someone who actually owns one.

Ive got to give up these 4runners and switch over the 80 series....oops did I say that out loud....

MORE PICS!!!!!!!!!MORE VIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
