I'm looking to sell my work truck and along comes this offer of a partial trade for a fj45. It's just the frame, axles, and the body and bed. He says he also has a " box of parts." EVERYTHING else is missing. It's a 1963 with the split rear window and a short bed. Body looks to have been blasted and hit with primer. The frame looks solid but in need of attention. The dash has 4 extra holes in it. He wants 4k. Is this reasonable or just an over priced pile of parts?

Do you have pics?? Post em up so we can get a clear idea. One man's junk....

I was afraid of that. Guess the idea of having a 45 and a 40 in the barn got me carried away. I didn't like all the holes in the dash anyway. And does that bed look right? I thought there should be some hooks around the outside.

The bed looks right from what is visible - the short bed has flatish sides and no hooks with the top perimeter looking like a 40 tub. See if you can get him down lower :meh: it is a rare truck

What do you think of the SOA and the shackle reversal?

Am I seeing things? it sure looks like the differentials are on the driver side???? like the PO just flopped the axle around and they are now upside down????

and it looks like they primered over what ever was in the way, window regulator, wiper motors, rear view mirror.

the body look nice, but you're only getting a body and frame. I still think it's tooo pricey.

They were going for the rarely seen diff reversal. It makes it ride like a washing machine, and you get better mileage.

Agreed. The body and frame don't look too bad, but that primer can hide a lot of needed work. I certainly wouldn't pay 4,000 for that.
