Sorry it has taken me so long to introduce myself officially since the move back home. My name is Scott. I have a beautiful wife Candice and a perfect 4 month old son Davis. My wife and I grew up in Snellville. I graduated from Georgia Tech in 2002. I just moved back from SoCal where I owned/operated a Chick-fil-A restaurant. This week I accepted a job with Smith Barney (part of the Citigroup family) where I will become a Financial Advisor and work my way towards a CFP. I am pretty new to wheeling and my only experience has been out west. I will not have much time until prob. next spring to hit the trails, but I hope sooner. I look forward to meeting you all and wheeling/camping/playing golf/etc. with you. For more details of my rig check my current ROTW in the 80's tech section.

Thanks,
Smit

Sure was a great help! I would love the woodstock area...I am just petrified of the commute to 75/Windy Hill :crybaby:.

Welcome... glad you made it out OK.

Let us know when you get some spare time... I say that like I have any... probably the worst web wheeler around here. I'd definitely make the time if you promise to follow Dan though :D

What degree did you earn from GT?

I'm working my way (slowly) through M.E. there.

Have you already found a place to live?
Windy Hill/Johnson Ferry/Paper Mill Rd is a nice area. If you are working there it would be nice to find a place near there. I grew up two exits south off West Paces.

Welcome back! After I improve my golf skills a little more we'll have to play a round.

I got a MGT degree. We have found a house in Smyrna. Haven't signed anything yet though. I lived off West Paces Ferry while in college. I would love to play golf with you. I am not as good as I used to be, but I have not played much in the past 3 years.

 I was at Tech in 2002. Did you have your Cruiser then? You can still see my Cruiser in the parking lot of State Street Academy on Google Earth. :bounce:
That is cool about the Google earth. I had a 91' Camry then that was the perfect car for college. Easy to park, great gas mileage, and super reliability.

If you wanna have beer and hang out cruiser style head to my house Saturday. Kids are welcome, bring something to burn, and we can all hang out. You can meet the ATL gang :)

I work off Windy Hill and South Park Place Right across from the Chick-fil-a in the Wellstar Development Center. I live up in Marietta off Chastain and Bell Ferry Rd if you ever need a hand.

Wow, that will be really close. I will be at that Chick-fil-A most mornings since I will be leaving Dacula super early to plan for traffic. I plan to hang out with some coffee and a book/newpaper at the Chick-fil-A and get my Chick-fil-A fix. Come join me if you ever want to. I will hopfully be in my wife's black acura TL (with Cali plates) until we move....for the gas mileage of course.

Thanks for the invite Dan. I have spent the last two days with a 2-man auger digging and setting 40 two inch fence posts :crybaby:.

Dan where do you live in Woodstock?

Smit.. I go over there in the morning all the time So I'm sure I can meet up one morning in the near future.

Very close to Trickum and Arnold Mill Road.

Well my wife is Lauren Bogue/Roach and teaches 4th and 5th grade special ed. Kinda small world.

Smit: When you start? I was at Chick-fil-a this morning and I looked for a TL. Also they have free public wifi if you have a laptop.

I start on Monday the first. I have to be at the office @ 8am, so I will be there somewhere between 6:45-7:45 on the mornings that I am there. All depends on traffic. I am giving myself a huge buffer (knowing that on any given day I will need it) and this is where I will spend my time if the buffer is not needed. The wifi is a great thing that the operator did there. I actually have the Verizon card so I have wifi wherever I go...more expensive but I love the portability.

Btw..I will be living in Smyrna no later than Nov. 1st....can't remember the road but it is right next to the Smyrna Market Village.
