I picked up these little guys bwhile looking for metric brake tees at to local pull-n-save, so hopefully soon I can get the seat heaters wired up. These last few cool mornings have made me want to get them up and going.

Oopps, forgot the picture and the mobile app won't let me add them to my previous post.

I also picked this up to fix my gas door.

Overall a successful trip.

Well, I am going to take another crack at installing my front bumper this weekend and I have also been doing a little diagramming for my electrical system. I am not 100% sure what all I will accomplish, but I hope to at least get the bumper on and get my lights mounted. I need to pick up a few spools of wire and other assorted electrical components in preparation for trying to get my lights, seat heaters and audio components up and going. With the Samurai off the front burner, I hope to get a few other projects out of the way.

Its about time Lol. Good luck with all your plans bud.

Lol, thanks. And I know I have been slacking, but I am trying to get back on track. I ordered a couple of 4" (actually 4.5") round LED's to go in the bumper. I am going to have to do a little modifying to get them to fit in the Shrockworks bumper, but I don't think it will take much. I bolted my LED Bar onto it last night and I found all my plugs from Nick to wire everything up.

So the plan for tomorrow is to get the frame end's boxed with the supplied pieces and then I will need to modify the original light mount to work with the round LED. The bumper is made to fit the PIAA 510 and the round LED's mount a little taller so I need to put a slight angle on the mount in order to get them to line up with the holes properly.

Hopefully tomorrow will end with some pictures of a nice bumper bolted up to the front of the 4Runner

Stay Tuned:popcorn:

Well I am not at all happy with the fitment issues and I am going to have ALOT of paint to touch-up, but it is on.... mostly.

I still have to get most of the hardware on and wire everything and adjust the final height and.... well lets just say I think I have gotten the hardest part out of the way.

Got the height adjusted and lights mounted. Still have some wiring and bolt tightening to do, but I am please overall with the days work.

Now to follow Jason's lead and get me a cheap grill to mod and install my old emblem.

It never really ends, but that's why we do it I reckon :D

Bumper looks good man, sorry to hear you still had to fight it so much to get it mounted. Good luck on the grill mod.

Thanks. I spent several hours today bolting everything down. I finished wiring up both fog lights and the turn signals. I will try to get some good pictures of everything tomorrow in the light and out of the garage.

All in all they get an A for final product and a big fat F for fitment and ease of installation.

I will see about getting some touch up paint ordered, but plan to ride out the cold weather before getting into all that. I also need to wire up the main bar. I have some relays and have been playing with assorted configurations and looking for misc. connectors and wiring.

Finally got some sun today a grabbed a couple pics with my phone.

Still need to wire up the big bar but overall pretty pleased. Front didn't settle as much as I had figured, but I have heard a little rub on the front passenger so next on the list is my Highlander coils and toytec spacers.

Thanks. Where did you get your cheapo to cut up? I was thinking of checking out RockAuto since I got some new bright work for my 1990 over there.

Also, @jfrench, It was a PITA to get on, but I have talked to SW and they are planning to change their jig slightly to allow for these types of problems. Apparently this has happened more than once, but I believe that mine may be about the worse. Nothing to substantiate this, but I vote it was the worst!

I used the grill that was already in mine when I bought it, mine had been wrecked in the front and whom ever rebuilt it put the cheapy didn't fit worth a crap aftermarket grill in it so I didn't hesitate to cut it up. I think ROCKAUTO would be a good place to start for a cheap grill.

$60 for a chrome one. I think that might do. I wish I had checked the pick and pull a little closer last time I was there to see if the 98 they had had a decent grill.

I want to keep the chrome surround since I want to keep a little bling on the front to break up the dark colors.

They also have the cowl hoods, I know it is all looks, but I like the looks. Only bad thing is the plastic trim piece and misc parts for mounting will cost more than the hood would.

I thought about leaving the surround on mine chrome but meh, I'm happy with the all black although it is starting to be a little much.
I would love to have a sport hood for mine but other things rank way higher on the priority list.

Got my B&M trans cooler and a WIX in-line filter sitting in the Garage and I am trying to find a new Radiator. Looking for an all Aluminum unit, but I am also looking at a KOYO one. I found a Tacoma version that is 2 row and is about 2"-2.5" shorter than the stock 4Runner version which will help with approach angle and give me a better angle on my front skid.

I also have a set of slotted tundra rotors on the way and will be picking up some Tundra 231 calipers to do a brake job in a few weeks.

I also need to pick up some new LBJ's and a few other parts from my ol' buddy who ships me all the little Red boxes. The first of the year looks to hold some goodies for the Runner.

I just ordered a KOYO C1774 Radiator for my 4Runner. It is actually for a Taco, but after a ton of reading I am pretty sure that it should bolt in. It is a dual core unit that is only a fraction of an inch thicker. The core is 2 inches shorter which should let me play around with building a custom front skid that doesn't have the big bulge that the stock radiator requires.

I did a lot of searching on the internet, but after not finding exactly what I was after, I ended up calling KOYO direct and they gave me their local sales rep and they are getting me one directly from KOYO. This will ensure that I get a true KOYO and not a knock-off.

When it gets here I will post up pics and document how the install goes. I am hoping to do the swap when I do my TB in a few weeks.

Stay tuned.

And also, NO ONE makes an all aluminum radiator for the 3rd gen 4runners or the 1st gen Tacomas. I check with all the major players, called around locally and talked to some folks who had custom units built. I found one on ebay, but it was the smallest single core that they made for the 4cyl tacos and I wasn't willing to chance it on the smaller unit, besides I haven't seen another one in about 3 weeks and I am beginning to think I misread the title...

-Shrockworks front bumper, Lucky enough to find a nice GB over on T4R.ORG (ends 1/31/13 if anyone is interested).

I just bought a '99 on Monday and I plan on doing something similar. It will be a DD, but looking for a little bigger lift/tire...more of an expedition-type rig. Could you tell me where to find this group buy? I might be interested.

Also, I have a similar Door Ajar issue...different, but similar. I just posted a new thread. Let me know what you find out in the process and I'll be happy to share what I find.
