Finally thought I'd post a pic of my guy Kennedy. He's a 13 year old Golden and was rescued from U.S. Customs when he was 2. He has mild hip displaysa which prevented him from working 12 hour shifts at O'Hare Airport. Somebody had to adopt the dog or he would've been put down. Nothing like having a dope trained dog with a few teenagers around.

The arthritis in his hips is getting bad but it doesn't stop him from playing. I know it's a crappy pic but he went nuts with the recent snow we had. He didn't want to stop playing to come in.

Either a tow strap or chain, Animal cruelty?

Sancho was lonely being the only dog so we got this guy from the pound. He was skinny, skiddish and smelled of dumpster diving but now he is very loyal, protective and great!

Gus... Gus-gus

Masiff/Great Dane cross

About 32 months old now. Gentlest lapdog you will ever meet.

During the ACT2010. Was still pretty skittish with people then.

How many laps does it take for that lapdog?

He's pretty loyal and focused on me. So I guess just one lap. mine. :)

He curls up surprisingly small, but to be honest he seldom fits more than his head in my lap. ;)

Gus is beautiful Mark....my uncle used to breed great danes...the female - Chloe was a brindle like Gus, the male - Quinn was the standard tan with the black face.....they were such well tempered dogs.

I have had dogs all my life. Labs, Shepherds, airedales and wold hybrids. I always wanted a mastiff, but I spent years involved with the hybrids and did not expect I would ever wind up with a mastiff.

I came across Gus at the pound while looking for one of my other dogs that had wandered off and not made it home. He was 16 months old and very well trained... and freaking out and not eating from thr stress of being there.

I took him up to Hatcher Pass with a couple of my other dogs to play and by the next morning he was my shadow. I've had some great dogs, some amazingly smart one, beautiful ones... some great dogs. But I think I have to say that Gus is about the best dog I have owned. Definitely the loyalest and gentlest.

This guy is a damn good dog too, but kinda bad about chasing caribou (and porcupines) sometimes.

The folks who came up for the Trek in 2008 met Nakia. Real sweetheart, but she got loose and never came home about a year ago. :(

You got some cool dogs there mark!

looks like this is the only pic I can find on the work computer...

the wife must have hundreds of the boys, but can't access them now.

Rascal on the tailgate, Fiddich on the grass. Ages are about 6 and 4 respectively now...typical neurotic border collies...

Don't have the bj45 anymore...

More of the biggest Puppy in the world. Gus

:D

Great looking dog, but it looks like he's got the potential to hit ceiling if he gets a good head shake going with the drool flowing like that.:D

He never drools like that except sometimes while eating, or more seldom during strenuous exertion, But if he shakes it off... LOOK OUT! :)
