3rd order 2 spots!!!

Who is in??? Only two spots available.

Salue, that looks awesome!
These Inti racks really compliment the rigs.

Was the space in the front of the rack (between the two bars) designed to hold jerry cans? Looks like they would be a good fit

Thanks! Yes, that space was made to hold jerry cans.

How do you attach your awning? I have a Camping Lab awning to be installed.

We drilled holes in the awning bracket to match the 2 holes that the gutter mount cinches down on. Works perfect and is a little lower and easier to reach too! I can take a pic but I believe the Camping Lab brackets would be easier to mount since it's just an "L" bracket right?

Finally got mine installed and wired up. Thanks again Juan

Finally installed and my buddy helped me figure out how to mount my Fiamma awning to it too!
Salue or Adventureduo, (or anyone else) would you please post a close-up photo of how you mounted your awnings to the Inti rack?

Soon, if possible. I need to mount it before an event Saturday morning.

I have a Camping Lab awning and I've not come up with a great solution.

My Hannibal uses large clamps that grab the side rail and have a backing plate with 4 bolts. Different that your setup.

The ARB, Camping Lab and Mombasa awnings use "L" Brackets. All i did when i ran an ARB was bolt the "L" brackets into the floor slats and subframe of the INTI. Kind of hard to explain.

On the Fiamma, i drilled through the side rail and mounted it directly with large bolts. Again different than your application.

I don't really have any photos of any of the setups.

Jamie at Borregofest suggested drilling holes in the vertical rail supports if you want it up high. Otherwise, I don't see why you can't punch holes into the INTI frame and do the same with the carriage bolts from the Camping Lab Awning. Vertical rails is what I'd do 'if' I ever get an awning. I've got a light off each side of the INTI and would need to mount the awning up on the rack rails and not the frame of the rack itself. The bolts with the rings that hold the crossbars may get in the way, but I suppose you could tap out that thread to match the awning bolts.

Factory Rack?

Would I be required to remove the factory rack from the vehicle to fit this INTI rack?? I understand that can become a problem with bolts and screws breaking during the removal...

Yes, factory roof rack must be removed. I had no trouble removing mine. I've heard that some have trouble with the nutserts. The black "runners" can stay on.

I see how that would work.

I think I can make a bracket that will allow bolt-on mounting up high.

I saw your Inti at Borregofest. Nice to meet you and see your rig. Your light wiring is very clean!

I'm going to mount mine high so I can mount side and rear lights like your setup. This afternoon, I went out and looked at the rack several times. I believe I've found a way to easily mount the Camping Lab awning.

Thank you very much for the feedback!

I'm guessing you don't have those L brackets. I think if you ordered those L brackets it would be pretty easy to mount to the rack. The short side of the bracket would mount to the back of your awning (with those bolts in the channel) and you can mount the long side of the bracket to the underside of the rack. I think you have enough room to mount it to the front corner and the rear corner of the rack, or even the triangle truss in the rear.
You really don't even have to order the Camping Lab/ARB bracket; just buy a bracket at Home Depot/Lowes and drill the holes to match the back of the awning bolt holes and mount it up.
I was going to take pics, but it's dark...And like Dave mentioned, it's a different mount for a Fiamma awning. I didn't have to drill into my awning though like Dave did. I used the Thule mount brackets I had for them and notched them to be able to mount it to the gutter mount.

Good Luck!

Remove or not original rack for inti rack

NO!! you don't have to remove the original rack, the only thing is that you will need larger brackets and the rack would be taller. I recommend removing the original rack.

Would I be required to remove the factory rack from the vehicle to fit this INTI rack?? I understand that can become a problem with bolts and screws breaking during the removal...

Interested. Also, does anyone have pictures minus the optional light bar?

I'm kinda late on this, but considering getting in on the fourth group.......What are the dimensions of this rack? Does anyone have pics with a RTT mounted on it...how much clearance does it have from the roof (no factory rack)...and lastly, can a person get eight mounting feet instead of just six? Thanks guys!

Cheers,
Gord
