Just checked UPS...The carriers are on the truck and will be delivered today!

Fed Fire under the Department of Defense. We are a civilian run department on Fort Hunter Liggett Army reserve base.

Very cool, didn't know the DOD had anything like that!

Guys, I am getting the racks out today to those that sent the balance. Sorry for the wait I do not think you will not be disappointed with the racks. The racks came out very clean with a precision fit. FirstToy hasn’t even got his yet. He is scheduled to pick them up this Thursday.

I do not always explain that I have a full-time job fire fighting and sometimes in the summer months I disappear working on wildland fires. We had 2 big fires on my fire departments property. The “Ponderosa” and “Sam Jones” fires.

We were working on the Ponderosa fire when the other Sam Jones fire started. The smoke in the distance is what we saw on the way to the Sam Jones fire from the Ponderosa. Our propety is over 250 square miles and took over 30 minutes to get from one fire to the other accross the furthest ends of our property driving code 3.

We've had a crazy week in California, haven't we? We've got a Type 3 striketeam in Shasta and an OES striketeam in Santa Cruz and a bunch of single resources everywhere else, can't keep track.

Gotta break the kids' piggybanks; I want a set!

I never got an email for the balance. Sent my addressing for shipping a couple of times, you know I asked your brother to bring them to me! :D

FirstToy: It would be useful if you would update the first post in this thread with purchase info, ie. price/options/availability/etc, so prospective buyers don't have to wade through 6 pages of posts. Thnx

EDIT: Additional question- Do you have measurements, ie. interior length/width/height of basket (so I can figure out if my pelican cases will both fit), as well as height of the bottom of the "basket" from the floor, and distance from interior wall to the far edge of the basket.

X2 on the clearance measurements from the floor up to the underside of the rack. I'd really like to see if they'll clear the drawers-carcass that's already in place.

Brilliant work, Hanna... and from another FF, be safe.

X3, want to know clearances for drawer systems

i'll see about taking some measurements

the baskets are just bigger than 2 nato jerry cans and I think there is about 43" between the wheelwells

Got mine and yes they are pimp :grinpimp: but they will lead to be a bit of a pain with my cargo barrier coming in and out and camping in the back. So, I got a brand new set in southern OR I will sell for $375 if you pick up. If no takers then I will just make it work. Or buy just the driver side for $180.

Hex Nut size on the Carriers :frown:

Seems that it would have been easy but nothing I use fits the Hex Fitting. 5mm to small, 6mm to big, 3/16 to small, and 1/4 to big...

Did I miss something :)

Corbet,
try him at ken@hannaquality.com not sure about his status

Nemo, I think I answered you a while ago in another thread but

Allen wrenches come in standard .5 increments at the low end. So if 5mm is too small and 6mm is too big, try a 5.5mm

The buttonhead bolts are so you don't tear anything up or catch skin while loading cargo
