alright...i bought a 45 a few weeks ago and the seller said he had another 40 and a 55 on another property that he wanted to get rid of as well....thing is this is the 45 https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj45-owners-club/193637-new-45-guy.html
the 55 looks restorable and looks to be complete minus engine tranny and t-case (orig seats, radio axles ect ect) thing is its going to cost me a couple hundred bucks to get the 55 and 40 to my place and with the 45 project and my own 40 i dont have time to resto a 55 as well as work on the other 2....the other thing is 55's just arnt realy my thing...if i sell as a complete rig it would be a reasonable price, if i cant find a buyer right away im gunna buy a cutting torch and basicly forcefully take anything that might be useful for my other trucks (see sig line) and everything else i can get off before she goes to scrap metal or a wrecker...i DONT realy want to tear into it but my parents wont let it sit in the yard...the body seems pretty good..roof has a bow to it and there are rust bubles in some places and for whatever reason the doors dont open (drivers door partialy opens), owner said doors opened when it was parked. i have seen worse rigs brought back on this site...im posting this to try to see how much interest there are in parts or a project, if i dont bring this up to my place it will sit in the bush and rot ...im located on vancouver island B.C., Canada so keep location in mind. the 55 is not too far gone to bring back...but its more then i will have time for. ill answer any questions as acuratly as i can...

any idea on the years of the 40 and 55?

The 40 is a '74 and the 55 i dont know, the guy said early 70's. I just thought that i see if anybody would be interested in restoring the 55....cause they arnt very common and its kinda a shame to cut up something that could be saved. the 40 im not sure what i would do with....probably take the axles out for trail spares and see what else is salvageable out of that and junk the rest....biggest thing is these is that theycant stay in my yard very long

PM Raddcruisers, he's looking for a '55 and he's on the island.

am in the same.....looking at a 79 rustbucket mechanically perfect and a couple of early 69s with good bodies but no motor or trannys!..........hate to see em die!
