I usually use white lithium grease and I have a craftsman torque wrench. I bought eveything today and as long as nothing goes wrong I should have it back together by tomorrow afternoon.

DO NOT USE WHITE LITHIUM GREASE!
Good, quality engine assembly lube is thick enough to not drain off the friction surfaces, and keep parts lubricated on initial start up until oil pressure comes up and oil is flowing fully to all parts of the motor.

I was out at the junkyard looking for interior pieces and came across this dished plate with an offcenter hole in it fit between the timing chain and the cam on an87 or 88. Don't have a clue what it's supposed to do.

That is the drive cam for the mechanical fuel pump on the carb'd 22R engines. You don't need it.

I'm no expert, but I don't see anything wrong with using white lithium grease as an assembly lube if you have it. It's better than nothing. Heck the one time I did a bottom end on a 22RE we used Vasoline, also filled the oil pump with it as a primer. Worked fine.

But, if you're heading to the parts store again anyway, might as well pick up a tube of Assembly Lube. The squeeze tube nozzle makes it easier to use.

eh, theres a napa around the corner, I can grab some lube in the morning. Thanks.

It will either go specatcularly or do something else entirely.

Pulled it in the driveway just before I had to come to work. Seems to be ok. Tomorrow I'll get in on my insurance and give it a test.

Thanks for all the help!
