Oil pools are normal. They come from PCV system.
I'd clean up, check surfaces for warpage and then replace gaskets.
Before installing IM. I'd vacuum out every intake port of head. Getting every spec of dust/sand out. No gasket sealer or FIPG is use.
Make sure white tips of IM gaskets, up.

intake manifold gasket failure
