I'm looking at installing a Toyota elocker into my 1985 4Runner rear. Has anyone used the Inchworm wiring harness and, if so, what was your opinion? Where did you run the wires (generally) to get to the dash (e.g. through the firewall)?. Also, where did you put the switch and do you have any photos of the switch installed?

I know, lot's of questions but search came up empty on this specific subject. :)

Thanks!!

I have not installed such a harness.

but i think the best place to put any toggle switch on any toyota is in the factory block off plates.

say yours does not have a power antenna switch. just unsnap the block off plate drill a hole, and there you go. looks clean cut.

to run the wires, i would encase them in a plastic loom, and follow the brake hose up. be sure to zip tie it to the hose, so it has all the extra length when you flex.
run it to the front any way you want. i like to zip tie the wires to the brake lines. just dont let is loose any where its gonna chaffe.

find a body plug or go throgh the fire wall. just dont cut anything till its in place, you dont want to come up short

not anything hard. just do it :D
