Import tax on Partsouq order

I just ordered all new exhaust studs, nuts and a few small cooling system hoses for a 2uz from partsouq. Total was 131 bucks just buying the 16 studs at the lowest cost wholesale US dealer was 5.77 (IIRC). Per stud and well over 7 each at my local yota counter. I paid 2.38 I think each, even with the all the hassle still worth it.

I got poked with a 32 dollar import bill from fedex the import fees of about 16.xx and fedex fees of about the same. All said and done shipped and tariffs applied I am still sitting at about 40-50%. Cheaper than buying all this at the local counter and 25-30% cheaper than the us based wholesale Yota stores. It’s a case by case deal with parts you need high markup stuff like bolts and small rubber parts seem to be still worth the effort. That said I ordered some stuff form orisman the day after the partsouq and the stuff from Dubai got here before the stuff from VA.

All this said anyone been able to get anything from impex lately. Everytime I plug a part number in even for much newer stuff the online catalog says not matching part number. Did they just stop serving the us customer to not have to deal with the duties?
My Partsouq order from Dubai to Ontario, Canada took a blistering 3 days. Amazing !

I've found the US dealers are becoming more competitive than PartSouq. Regularly purchase from Decatur Toyota out of AL, especially when they have a sale. Trick is to go all the way to checkout screen and make sure any discounts are applied. Then figure ~25% for PartsSouq tariffs...compare.

That said, PartSouq was much quicker with shipping last time I ordered.

I just go to my local dealer. Buy enough parts and they hook you up, they usually match or beat any online pricing for me.

Only time I go to partsouq or amayama is when it’s a non US part.
