Don't give it up so quickly.
Where's the "GetRdone" mentality?
Get running then reg.???
My $.02

I would look for a frame and tub for sale or a rolling chassis and swap everything onto that. I have had good luck on craigslist when someone just wants it out of the driveway with a blown engine. It is a pain to pull everything though.

Sorry to see this build has fallen off. Any progress or did the build get scrapped?

Primarily lurking for inspiration. Starting a build of my own soon with an FJ62 I picked up recently. I'm parting out my linked W250 Cummins build for the FJ and want to keep the 40' tires. Just want to see how little fender cutting I can get away with without it looking like a mud truck. Hope the OP pushed through on this.

Never took off... had title problems and ultimately gave up. There is plenty of stuff in my previous fj60 build that may be helpful. I moved onto a chevy project. Most of the land cruiser build are going into the Blazer.

Sorry to hear that. I did find this build through a reference to your blue 60. Seems like the cutting was reasonable for those 42's. Guess I'll hunt that build down. Appreciate the reply man.

Did you start a specific thread for the 42's install? Just waded through your past threads. I didn't see a title that identified your bump to the bigger tires or the work required. I don't have enough time in a week to read through every thread you've started. LOL

The Blazer looks good man. I didn't get those pics on my phone earlier. Sorry you couldn't get the 60 off the back burner. I'm a diesel fan boy so the big block doesn't get my panties wet but I can appreciate the work stuffing a big engine. The thread you started for tapping a 60 steering box for hydro assist is very helpful. Thanks for sharing all that.

absolutely love the Blazer. I've been being tempted by a 74 here (fully removable top for those who don't speak Blazer)...

I must say... Chevy stuff is MUCH easier to build although the coolness factor goes down a bit.

I like the receiver vice!

You laugh until we need it on the trail to fix your power steering pump!

I do not... its just kinda wedged in here and there on the original blue 60 build. I wasnt as organized with the build documentation as Boots was in his "family hauling" build.

it's just a clever box - my '40 is far more domestic content then asian... that said, one of these days I'm doing a 2wd 75 or older Blazer (right after the 72 pickup, the 79 Spider, the 50 Buick, the 54s under my H3, the s10 awd, v8 blazer, the overland trailer, the car trailer and the next C3 Corvette. In short, come back in 1+1+5+1+1+1+.3+3= 13.3 years and I'll be started on it. Of course, that's presuming no other 'quick' projects....
oh wait, plus I need to do a 60 or an 80 for my wife at about year 4 (add 2 more years for that)

oh and that doesn't include time for a deck, kitchen refresh, new bathroom... *cuss word*

Hate to be the hawk eye but that rear bumper looks a lil saggy.
