Ideas for truck and runner section

To increase the value of the content in this section I'd like to start some additional "special" threads. Other sections like the 80's have had ROTW - Rig of the Week sections that have been popular and useful for build ideas.

How about buildup threads as stickys?

Popular mods, like bumpers or dual batteries?

I think there should be a "Low Cost Mods" faq. Just some of those little ideas that are low cost, safe and work well.

Maybe a miscilanous faq, for such things as the extra grab hold that blots on the drivers side, or the SR5 map lights that I added, etc.

We could also have a faq for each engine, 20-22retc, 3vze, 5....etc.

But I think a lift and bumper faq by generation would be a good start.

Grassroots Motorsports. Lowcost/No cost ideas particularlly the use of swappable parts from year to year, and model to model. Example: the use of V6 diffs that are built stonger and used on the 2.4 earlier models.

It looks like I'll be working with Expeditionswest on a budget 4Runner build up; focusing on creating a mild family/expedition rig for more Mexico trips and general travel wheeling. I'll see if I can cross-post the project when we start up.

Most likely early to mid 90s. I'd like four doors, as I'm working with a car seat now, and I'm still partial to the V-6...even with the known head gasket issues.

And yup...I would consider myself a parrothead!

Hey the main reson that I sighned up is so I could get help with projects and give help.
I dont know how to work the sight yet so if anyone one can give guidance it would be great?
The main thing right now is I'm in a bind. I curently own two trucks one an 85 pickup the other a 90 4runer. I have done a lot of work to the 85 and now have to give it up for the 4 runer. (4 runer is more baby freindly with a back seat) I want to swap bodies and engienes but don't know what it takes to do it. I need to know the specs on both chasis but cant find them on line. Any help or sugestion would be so greatly apretiated.

I Plan On Building A Mini In About 2 Months For Cruise Moab And I Would Like Some Ideas.
