How you goone get in it to drive it?:grinpimp:
 
1) Fuel gauge don't work.
2) Glitch in the harness makes check-engine light and 4wd-indicator light stay lit. We unplugged the 4wd light. Also disabled the air-bag light.
3) Wind noise really sucks BAD. Gonna need some new weatherstrippin'.
4) LOTS of heat from firewall and floor. I'm thinkin' bedliner spray. Sure helped on the Cruiser.
5) Shock reservoir rubs under the hood. Other misc. rattles and squeeks need to be tightened up.
6) Tranny shifter is interestin'. Don't light up ... and don't line up with the factory indicators. When in "Drive", indicates "neutral" for example.
7) No cruise control.
8) Stereo speakers are blown.


Well, what did you expect for a mere kerbillion $$$:flipoff2:

So far I'm only in 63 grand. All cash ... don't owe a penny on it. :cool:

My target is to have the truck completely finished for 80 grand. We'll see. The EarthRoamer jeep and SportsMobile van are both over a hun'erd grand. :rolleyes:

I will say that I've certainly spent more ... and got less ... durin' the course of my miserable life though. :meh:

Headin' to Toyota of Dallas momentarily to pick up all my ARB campin' stuff. :clap:

I did in fact have my two lil' gas cans in the bed. :clap:

But didn't even make it south of Bonham though ... tranny ain't shiftin' into low or overdrive. Only got middle gears. Brought 'er back to the house. Have to fool with it next time I'm home. I knew I shoulda paid extra for the manual transmission. :meh:

DMV weren't real happy with it neither. They say it's a "reconstructed" vehicle and gave me some forms I gotta get filled out by the previous owner. Maybe get tags next time I'm home too. :meh::meh:

I am beginning to sense some sort of discomfort and frustration, and I don't blame you.

...Keep in mind, you did not buy this vehicle from the dealership and it did not come in the way you have it.

Usually there's a lot of trouble shooting before you'll feel comfortable with it.

I am sure Butch will take care of you, He'll bitch about it and give you Hell but he'll get Brutus going.

Finally someone understands my reasoning....well as my poor old pappy used to say...."if its worth doing, its worth doing right"
 
Since Brutus couldn't get to Dallas on Monday, we swung into Toyota of Dallas Tuesday mornin' in Debbie's truck on the way to droppin' me off at the airport. :cool:

Great to see the fine Folks hard at work there ... :D

and even better to see all my new stuff in the back of the truck. :grinpimp:
