that sucks!

Thanks Nolen.

The fine Folks up in The Great White North have filled out the TX DMV Form VTR-61 for a "reconstructed vehicle" documentin' where all the parts and pieces legally came from and sent it to the house.

I fly home Thursday night ... so Friday mornin' I'll continue my battle to get a TX tag. :bang:

Then gotta get the tranny to shift again ... :meh:

:flamingo:

For a project like this one, it takes some time to get things working properly and in armony.

That's why I asked at the beginning "how are you going to bring it to TX?"

As good as the shop that assembled this truck claimed to be, they were not on the road w/ you.

So Look at the bright side, you got 'nother project to do and supervise when you get home.

another thing, you got your X-mas gift earlier.

He! he!

Horse s*** those kinda bugs should have been found and not by Kowboy

You have to admire a man that knows his s***.
Good call Smtyblt.

For those that didn't get an education from the finest University between Snook and North Zulch:

Bull**** = a lie, bragging
Horse**** = stupid, incompetence
Chicken**** = inappropriate use of power against you
Bat**** = crazy, insane
Cat**** = stinks to high heaven
Dog**** = annoying, inconvenient

Y'all study hard, there will be a test at the Round Up.
Happy Trails! N

All those problems are common for a custom vehicle. You will get it sorted out and have the cat's ass when it is done.

guess that explains why my TBI350, 700R, D300, homemade rear axle install that was first tested 1400 miles from home so many years ago worked so poorly...

it WILL be great when it's done, but Kowboy picked it up believing it WAS done.

for $63k any issues should be REALLY minor...

Sell Brutus and buy Nolen's buggy.

Then sell the buggy and buy Nolens 60.

Then sell that and buy Brutus back.

SUCCESS!!

Just got home from the DMV. Threw a whole friggin' pile of paperwork on the counter and just hoped for the best. :bang:

By coincidence, the head Fella from the entire district was in our lil' county office and he started weedin' thru it all. After careful study ... he finally proclaimed that I had met all the obligations. :bounce2::cheers::bounce2:

The Great State of Texas now o'ficially considers Brutus' registration class to be "TRUCK-LESS/EQL. 1 TON". :D

She's listed as a 97 jeep for the year and make ... the model's actually left blank ... and the body style is PK for pickup.

New plate says Texas Truck.

$297.50 worth of taxes paid based on the book value of a 97 Wrangler ... $4,760! :grinpimp:

One of the many, many things I needed was a weight slip ... she weighs in at exactly 5 thousand pounds.

And to top it all off ... the tranny's shiftin' fine now. :meh:

:flamingo:

How much was the bribe, errrrrr "monitary donation" ?

For a nice donation to my F40 fund I won't call 'em and tell 'em 'bout the additional $58,240.00 value :flipoff2:..... Just make the check payable to JK Customs

Actually ... went by the book and everythang is perfectly legit. Submitted origins for each and every custom component that was used to convert the vehicle into it's present state. It was worth the effort.

97 jeep wrangler was purchased for $2000 from United Auto Inc. in Fenton, Mi. Had to pay additional taxes due to the book value showing over twice that. :meh:

Then the $61k worth of customizing was done by Unlimited Offroad Centers in Fenton, Mi.

Two seperate transactions ... both with very complete, proper documentation.

Transactions were just made more convenient since the same Fella owns both bid'nesses. :grinpimp:

:flamingo:

Is this a jeep thing? cause i don't understand

Cant wait for all this "stuff" to get sorted out so we can see her perform. with all the "stuff" you put up with already i hope she performs like the best stripper on a 24k pole !!

Kowboy's had problems with trannies before. I guess being a jeep, Kowboy just thought it had a frank and beans.
