Icon Rebound 17" Wheels

Got mine for ~$178/ea. Discount Tire here said they could not do better than price listed at Icon website which is $241.49. FYI the Satin Black is less than the Bronze and Titanium colors.

@NCMTNS, Where did you get them for $178?

Also, has anyone tried the Icon Alloys Six Speeds? The Icon website says the 17" would work for a 2011 LC so I assume (but may be wrong) that they would work for 2011 LX.

Here is a link to the thread on this I just found if you haven't already found it. Looking at the same wheels.

Finally got rims installed today. Went with the new Toyo Open Country A/T III.

So far so good. I think the next item is to get strut spacer.

I’ll be due for new tires in the next month or two, and making the switch to Icon Rebounds in 17”. Hope I can talk my local Discount Tire into a good deal... will keep you posted:cheers:

Any rubbing at stock height? Also, are the tires any louder than stock? I really like the look of the ICON's but don't want them to be too loud for me. I drive on the interstate a good bit for work.

pretty sure that wheels or rims don't really affect road noise. A mild A/T tire isn't going to be noticeably louder than a passenger tire. Get some wear on either and noise goes up, the ceiling on the A/T is louder noise when warn, particularly past 50%.

Now, will it bother you or will you notice it- depends highly on the person.

You definitely need to massage front fender well forward and do some mud flap trimming. As for noise I think minimal. I had Nitto Terra Grappler G2's previously and these seem quieter but these types of tire will have some noise over standard all season tires. I got the SL load rating tire as I mainly drive highway but also occasionally have to get on utility/service roads as well as some logging roads. It was interesting that the C rated tire actually weighed more than the E rated one and the SL rated one that I got had a higher max load rating than the C rated tire. I wanted a tire that could do both well and I hope these will. Plus Toyo is offering free returns up to 500 miles so you can get an opp to see how they perform.

The C has 3/32 more tread and at least one more sidewall belt and probably 3 more tread belts (guessing). I am willing to bet the C and E weight was swapped in the table as well.
Asterisks say C is 6 ply and E 10ply "rating". I am guessing but SL is probably 4 ply.
I should probably stop guessing. . ..

I’ve got the same tire & wheel combo on my 200. I’ve always run BFG A/T’s but because of lack of size availability I went with these Toyo’s. I can’t believe how happy I’ve been with these Toyos. Very quiet. Have a little over 3000 miles on them now. They rubbed a little before my lift in reverse turned hard. I cut a bunch of plastic out of the wheel wells and it helped. I added Spidertrax spacers and rubbing got worse on reverse hard over. Added OME suspension and rubbing is very very minor. Barely noticeable. Super happy with the combo. Pic is me adding BudBuild stainless skids & MetalTech sliders this week.

Nice setup.

If you run into Jerry Seinfeld's parents tell them I said hi.

LOL, that's the first time anyone has commented on my location since joining Mud 14 years ago!

I ended up going with a 34 10.50 17 BFG KO2. They are usually really pricey but I found a place in NC selling sets of 4 for less than 1k with free shipping . I was going back and fourth trying to decide between the bronze and titanium wheels. Ended up with the titanium for my color truck but those look awesome with the color of your truck.

What bumper is that? I like how it butts up to the fender and doesn't require cutting the factory bumper.

It’s a Dobinsons front bumper. Dobinsons 4x4 Classic Black Deluxe Bullbar for Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series 2008 to 2016(BU59-3696)

I was a little skeptical of their products at first but I’ve been very happy with them so far. I didn’t want a big bull bar style bumper but I bought it during they’re Black Friday sales last year and I was able to save on shipping by picking it up so I figured it was worth trying out. I bought their drawer system too and it’s right up there quality wise with the ARB drawers I have in my 100. Plus they’re black carpeted and match my interior better than ARB’s grey.

Love it! Just be careful if you run for the condo board president. I hear the politics can be nasty.
