Thanks, I ordered the cdcv from 4wheelparts. They were selling them less than everyone else. I also ordered 2 pairs of the socks at 20% off. Will order icon spanner wrench from carid using my gift certificate.
I hope I dont end up wanting foxes or kings after this. I saw a post where someone claimed the foxes rode way better than the icons.
I didn’t want to start a new thread just to ask this so I figured I would bump this one. Can anyone tell me if preload can be adjusted on the 2.5s without having to remove the coilover from the truck?
No, I don’t have the shocks yet. I’ve got Icons with CDCV on my 100, but of course no coilovers, just the evil ARB torsion barsAbsolutely. Jack up the truck to take the weight off the system, back out the set screw, spray some lube on the threads and have at it.
Do you have the pin tool?
Sounds good. The two tools I use most on my cruisers are on totally different ends of the spectrum. The BFH and the torque wrench. Brute force and precision. It always amazes me that they both get used on pretty much every job. I enjoy them bothIt’s not for the faint of heart. The tool comes with a square cutout for a 3/8” drive. Using a long ratchet makes the job easier. Takes quite a bit of force to turn.
