CDCV is worth the extra money.

Thanks I wonder why he felt otherwise? Being able to change on the fly sounds perfect.

Maybe that person doesnt drive a 200 equipt with CDCV Icons. Maybe he does. Plenty-o-floks are completely happy with this setup. CDCV Has to be a successful seller for Icon. Seems as though BP51’s followed the lead. Cant be a bad thing. You can add them after the fact. Which some have once it was time to rebuild.

Thanks, I ordered the cdcv from 4wheelparts. They were selling them less than everyone else. I also ordered 2 pairs of the socks at 20% off. Will order icon spanner wrench from carid using my gift certificate.

I hope I dont end up wanting foxes or kings after this. I saw a post where someone claimed the foxes rode way better than the icons.

Congrats on your selection!!!! Enjoy

Man, once you go with Icon...let Kings and Fox and others out of your mind & enjoy.
You've chosen a high quality setup. Pretty soon that second-guessing will fade, kinda like the pot-holes that won't seem so big any more. :)

I didn’t want to start a new thread just to ask this so I figured I would bump this one. Can anyone tell me if preload can be adjusted on the 2.5s without having to remove the coilover from the truck?

Absolutely. Jack up the truck to take the weight off the system, back out the set screw, spray some lube on the threads and have at it.

Do you have the pin tool?

No, I don’t have the shocks yet. I’ve got Icons with CDCV on my 100, but of course no coilovers, just the evil ARB torsion bars:flush:. I’ll be placing an order soon. Ill make sure to order an adjustment tool when I do.
Thanks!

It’s not for the faint of heart. The tool comes with a square cutout for a 3/8” drive. Using a long ratchet makes the job easier. Takes quite a bit of force to turn.

Sounds good. The two tools I use most on my cruisers are on totally different ends of the spectrum. The BFH and the torque wrench. Brute force and precision. It always amazes me that they both get used on pretty much every job. I enjoy them both
