i found a write up on this a couple days ago on how to flush and replace with atf. good write up and pictures, i believe it was in faq but i can't find it now. can someone help.

I used this method on my 4Runner and my Land Cruiser. Pretty easy. Use a good synthetic ATF and it will last a long time.

I've used this method on all my Yota's 'cept I don't start the engine up. The fluid flows too quickly when the engine is running and I'd have a hard time keeping up w/ filling the reservoir.
how about when you have hydro assist?
I just figured I would have to take it apart and drain every thing.

I always just take the low presure line off, put it in a bucket while the engine is running and stand over the res. puring till I am happy
that won't get it out of the cylinder.
If you cycle the cyliner it would, or if you took the fitting off the cylinder and pushed it shut it would also force all the old stuff out. What is left would be negligible in the least.
