i have 2008 land cruiser fzj71 and I would like to replace the original clutch because the temperature rises rapidly during the off-road driving and sand, the smell corruption ... Please give me more than one type and the best species of heavy duty clutch

No idea which model will fit your 71, and if the same model clutch for Australian FZJ78/79 models would work or not.

I have been told that they are similar in terms of heavy duty clamping pressure, but that the 4Terrain has better friction material on the clutch plate.

The next step above these in terms of being heavy duty would be a cushion button clutch, but then I think you start losing driveability, as it is more on-off without any slipping between on and off.

I thought you would have suggested a LJ with an auto transmission...at least he would not have had clutch issues:) ........1978HJ45

firstly two things

1. sounds like a coolant problem - is the thermo fan working - you running coolant or H20. Have you checked it all carefully?
2. SOunds like driver error - clutch is either in or OUT. are you slipping the clutch badly when changing gears or starting and using lots of revs or trying to start uphill slipping the clutch? This will produce the smell you are experiencing :)

as crushers stated I would look at your driving style.
