They're always in the right place and the right size, especially if you don't smoke. Found a screaming deal on a 1500 Watt inverter from Costco. Xantrex XPower 1500 for $80. Anyway, it's been sitting around for a month or 2 and today I had some free time. It's not hot yet as I still need some #2 welding cable for power feeds from the battery and a fuse block yadda yadda, but the grounds are all hooked up. I will most likely remove the power switch on the unit and mount it above the recepticles.

That is freaking sweet!

Xantrex are quality units as well; we use them on many critical UPS systems. Haven't had any problems with them in 3 years of continuous 24 hour operation.

Heya- i saw this on the Costco site--but it doesnt say what the running (drain) amps on this is??? Does your manual state the units efficiency as well as its power draw when on (without accessories plugged in)?

thanks,tim

Nice job Jon. looks sweet. I can't wait to plug my blender up. see you a the meeting. no baby yet... still hanging on in there.

Looks cool, just wondering why did you not spring for GFCI receptacles? Then you don't have to reset the inverter and just reset the receptacle, just in case you had to use it outside in a damp condition. Not criticizing just wondering if that has ever been a problem with anyone with these units!

so where was the ashtray? Nice work though, would love to have power in the back of the eighty.

Nice

Sorry for the delay. That work thing always gets in the way.

bugsnbikes-You can download the spec sheet from Xantrex Technology Inc., but the unit is 90% efficient, no load draw is less than 300mA.

JP-I see margaritas in our future.

Chevinater77-I didn't have a GFI receptacle handy. I need to pull it apart again anyway. I did think of it but I wanted to get all the fab work done first.

jfz80-The ashtray was where the receptacles are. No trimming necessary.

NLXTACY-That's part of my OBA setup. Details on my website.

Thanks for the kind words.
