For those of us who drive "antique" Land Cruisers, what is the "idle-up" switch?
Is it a poor man's hand throttle? :)

"antique" :lol::lol:
Have you notice the switch next to the "idle-up":D
Is that meaning I have wiper on my back panel?:hillbilly:

Will that solve what you have in mind?:p

By the way, this is KZJ78 rounded dash.

"Idle Up" increases idle to recharge batteries quicker/low range work. Your right, the new version of a hand throttle.

Switch next to it, Rear windscreen wiper: Intermittant, or On.

Most toyotas have similar switches

Here is my 3" stainless steel exhaust system installation. This is first day work and is not done. Hopefully can finished the works by tomorrow.;)
Is this place Soon Hing? How much it cost to change the exhaust?

Which part of Sabah are you from?

OMG U WONT BELIEVE THIS! Yesterday I was just posting on ur thread and 10 minutes ago I saw ur car with RARE BUMBER WITH LICENSE PLATE "DAD 2623" on it in Tawau. Your car was cruising from Taman BDC and u turned at Giant roundabout. The world is so small! Haha, add me please and we will keep in touch. :) Nice to meet you and ur ride! I wish I can stop u down next time and take a look inside ur car! :p

Where did u buy the front bumper n chrome mirror? Is there an empty place in the middle of bumper for winch or intercooler?

Definitely not Tawau to source for 70 series stuff.:frown:
You can get the new chrome side mirror at Toyota part dealer.
No empty place in middle, is a chrome cover board.;)

but many hzj75 in tawau had that front bumper too. you source it from who? car accessories shop only sell that front grill but not bumper =(

KK:cool:
All the Tawau boy cruiser chrome bumper from KK only.
The chrome grille from car accessories shop is made in Taiwan.
Taiwanese chrome fade away easier.

oh, can u give me the address of kk 4x4 shop? or they have middle man in tawau taking order?
hmm the chrome grille in ebay also made in taiwan? where can i source high quality grille? UMW only offer black grille :frown:

I wonder who is the one who told you only offer black grille?
My chrome grille is from GENUINE Toyota.;)

For ARB,you'll need to standby at least RM10K for F & R.:bang:
For 80 series axle to slot into 75, I would estimate about RM15K.
(10K of the axle and 5k for the labour charge)

Both ways aren't the cheapest to me.
For F & R factory elocker axle from Japan will be RM8K.(Estimated)
Get the factory 70 axle with elocker, will be the feasible way.
cheapest , fastest and clean hand.:)

The only issue is swapping 24v to 12v. I had solved it finally.:D

No front factory elocker for LJ series, only rear elocker.
To me, LJ79 is a light duty truck.
I would consider using 80 series arm and articulation with 75 axle.

Not advisable to convert to coil, if you want carry weight on the back. Probably on the front for softer ride.

i beleive you can use a 80 series front locker in a LJ/KZJ front diff...
i looked at them both side by each and it looks doable ...

i phoned UMW 089 - 771 552 :hhmm:

by the way i saw the "abandoned" hzj75 last week near ranggu, is that ur work shop?

Is it good choice to convert front & rear to coil if i often carry at least 1 tonne?

u may convert front to coil while remove 2 leaf springs from the rear while adding coil above the rear axle. it is not a problem for 1-1.3tonne. u state at least 1 tonne, but what is ur maximum load?
