ummm, those are 77/78 series doors guys ...
so the 77 and 78 series are ugly to you?
:hhmm:

So at least you like the "doors" on the LJ78.:D

i like everything about the 78 ... except the engines ...

At least it was an engine that warmed up quickly on these cold wintry nights.:D

This dude is selling atm, a rag top with frame and factory soft top back doors ( the ones the glass and top frame can be unbolted and left with half doors) to suit a 70-74 $500au

Pretty rare in oz.The writing on the window says they are from a RJ70.

I'm sure the extended work wasn't done by factory.

The ones you see in oz were done by local body builders, usually TL Engineering or Arkana in WA and Laingley and others on the east coast.
The one in that pic is very similar to the one sold as a "Goanna pack" through the Toyota dealers in WA in the mid 90s.
Some of them had small doors so you could reach in and get things out.
The conversion cost about $5-6K in its day and they were selling do it yourself kits at one time.

very helpfull and cheap

It was actually a FACTORY extra cab:wrench::wrench::wrench:

It's a Toyota Australia extra , it doesn't come from Japan as a space cab, Toyota receive the truck as a normal cab chassis send it to a quality panel shop that they feel comfortable with Enough to warranty there work . Same as its a dealer option to have arb lockers installed before you pick up the new ute, that doesn't make arb lockers a Toyota product, they don't come from Japan with arb lockers In them.

Thanks lol, I didn't think he quite grasped the concept.

i have looked at the various panels available for the 75/79 series trucks and you can get all the parts for a 4 door from the factory but i never found any to make an extended cab.

If they did make a space cab I wonder if they would use the 79 series roof with more ribs or cut down and use the 76 series roof with less ribs in the roof panel
