Hey guys I am going to be building a HZJ75 truck here shortly I am very lucky to get ahold of being in the US and even more so the Midwest in Utah! As of now I have the frame springs and body. I am missing the windshield frame all the interior. Grill drive train and a few other things.
 
My plans on the drivetrain is a 2f with h42 4speed spilt case and fj60 axles for now and maybe one day a h55f and 1hz when I track some down. But for all the rest i want it all 70 series. It would be a huge help if anyone has any for sale or a source on a way to get them. I am thinking an Aussie style flat bed also pics of your guys would be great thanks!

Check with the guys up in B.C. like Radd Cruisers and the the other vendors up that way, they are the Canadian guys who do a lot of 70 series stuff. Proffitts was a good option until they went tits up:meh: For mechanical stuff, some parts you may be able to get through US vendors, Akella (Mud Name) brings in non-USA parts from Europe and has come through sourcing some hard to find parts for my HZJ troopie.

It will be tough as 70 series stuff is hard to come by in Estadio Unidos, but Canada uses a lot of 75 series utes for mine trucks.

Thanks for the info! And funny this is a Canadian mine truck and even funnier it was once at profits. I live about 45 mins from where they were located
 
I think 40 series axles would fit under a 70 better than a 60 series. In the long run ,you would be better off with a 70 series wreck and transfreering al the mechanicals over.It doesnt have to be a 75 series

Pulled out all my drivetrain parts or a bulk at least! There is even a warn winch hinding in there

Here's mine CG, fresh from paint. There are some differences between the 70 series so try and get as close to the year you have as possible. What year is the body, does it have a VIN plate? I had trouble fitting my fuel tank after swapping a 1991 cab bottom on to a 1998 chassis. You've got a long way to go, good luck with it, looking forward to the updates. I have a thread in this forum also.

Looks great! Yes it has a VIN I believe it's an 85 and I pick it up this Saturday! I'm trying to decide on leaving the patina of the paint of paint it white (favorite color on a 70 series) hmm decisions decisions
 
Oh yeah by the way! This is and has been my DD and toy forever. I bought it at 14 years old with my dads help as my first vehicle. been with me a long time so I Thought I would share my fj60 :D

sh*t you've got a fair bit of work trying to find all the parts to put that truck back together again, the drive trains no problem you can get any cruiser stuff back under it without too much problem but you'll have to find another 70 series to get the interior, dash etc out of.
Pulled mine apart 3 years ago and did a frame off ground up rebuild on it, a lot of work and money but it came up pretty good and has been running again for about a year :)

Nice 60.


I would probably lean towards putting some 60 diffs under the 75 to gain that bit more track width and stability.
Do you have 75 fuel tanks for it
