....so any more info on how much exactly these will set me back and the availability of them. I would like to make a decision one way or the other.

I'm curios as to why you said someone said that you couldn't run steel wheel on an 80. Why is this?

Sorry for hijacking but I'm running steelies on my rig and now I'm worried!

Christo said I couldn't. ;) The wheels on the Ptarmigan had to be :grinpimp:

Love the louvering on the hood! I am currently looking into installing the rear slider vents from a 100 series into my hood to help keep the combo S/C and Arizona temps down. I see you placed them in the ideal spot for both pressure and avoiding the hood supports. I still need to get the vents painted then start cutting the hood - Yikes! Ill post pics when done.

Love the wheels too - a very clean 80!

If you don't mind... can you hurry and redo this pic w/ the hood... I need a new wallpaper ;)

treerootCO,

So I am really thinking of getting these rims and if you could answer a few questions that would be great?

1) How are they at Highway speeds? I do a fare bit of highway driving.

2) Do they balance well?

3) Did you have to use any wheel spacers for them to fit?

4) With beadlocks some say that they lose air quickly. Is that the case with these?

5) How do you like them?

Thanks for your time!

Ryan

I have been looking for clear front indicator lenses, where do they come from /

I have to ship an order from Christo in the next week or so, maybe we can get them put into the box?

There are no issues at highway speeds. The only vibration I have felt so far had nothing to do with the rims. I parked the 80 for about a week and the Toyos must have flat spotted. A few miles that went away.
I would assume they balance well, I have yet to take them in and haven't noticed anything.
Wheel spacers were not required unless you want to run the centercaps. I haven't got to it yet but I'll modify the caps that came with them to fit.
I have set the air pressure and checked it often. It has never lost any air and each time I check, the gauge reads exactly how I left it.
I really like the rims and couldn't be happier. Carry a spare because it will take some time to tear one down to patch a tire.

I think Christo told him he couldn't run a winch because this 80 is too clean and purty to ever get in a situation where it would need a winch.:D

What is the back spacing on the rims? Just making sure that they will fit.

Thanks, I really want these rims so I am checking everything twice to make sure everything will work.

ohh my god that has to be one of the best moded LC 80 I have ever seen........marvelous!:bounce:
