Aw geeze. I don't really know what to say about that. If I can do anything let me know.

Aw man, that is really unfortunate. I hope there is still something the doctors can do. I feel terrible about this situation.

Terrible news. Please give him my very best. It leads me to ask, did you get his truck back ok? I wish I could
do something, but not from here. Is he in hospital long? Damn.....

Thanks so much guys...Cathy cooked up a nice dinner and we brought it over tonight..Jimbro is in great spirits and would really like to hold a cruiser meet at his house, he has a double property with fire pit..

His eye is intact, as of now he has lost his sight, the lens has shifted around and needs to be removed...maybe they might be able to re insert another lens? They are trying to determine the extent of the injury..

Jim claims I saved his eye by getting him off the mountain so quickly..they claimed that the eye was swelling so rapidly it would of ruptured. When the ambulance got him they instantly started a drug to slow the swelling, as of today the pressure in his eye is looking very good.

Thanks again guys for PMs to me about helping Jim out, he is very appreciative that you guys care so much..

Thanks for the update Rob. I'm glad to hear his eye is intact although injured. It gives hope that with future surgery/therapy he may gain some vision back.

Kudos to you Rob for getting him off the hill and into an ambulance quick; I'm glad that made the difference.

We'll definitely get a cruiser meet organized! Just gotta set a date.

Best wishes on the recovery! So glad to hear that it's now a recovery and not permanent. Getting him out so quickly is no easy feat and that's something to be proud of.

On a lighter note, can we give that trail a new name?

Thanks guys, I think he has mentioned something about surgery....lets keep our fingers crossed...

I headed over yesterday and ran him around for some things he needed done, Jim mentioned climbing back into my BJ42 gave him a little anxiety...I don't blame him..

He is heading to Vic tomorrow I think for some special pictures of his eye..

This is my first look and post here on Mud. Firstly I want to thank you Rob for getting me to safety you are one hell of a good driver! Your a solid friend too, that you Brother. To all my club family that's for the best wishes, it means a lot to me. Anyways its all good, I got some positive news from the Retina Surgeon yesterday in Vic, I think things are going to work out in time, and some surgery. I cannot wait to get back in the drivers seat and get out there into the woods where I belong. In the mean time Rob has really kept up my spirits, he has helped with some business, and him and his missus made one of their incredible special creations and brought dinner over to my place it was a real help. If the world was filled with guys like you Rob it would be a better place. IN the mean time, if anyone wants to swing by if in area please do, would love the company! Thanks All, Jim

Nice to see you back on the forum Jim! Glad the surgeon had some good things to say. I'm definitely looking forward to meeting you and doing some wheeling with you and the others up there when you're feeling better.
