Rear section window seals have a good amount of dark blue paint on them but otherwise look pretty good and are still pliable. Does anyone know a good method of removing this paint while not harming the seal?
thanks

Variations of paint thinner/acetone or in a bind, brake cleaner. Mix with 0000 steel wool or stiff nylon brush and it can help remove more stubborn items. Just be careful as the more corrosive the paint remover, the more careful you need to be around paint that you want to retain. Finish with Aerospace 303 or similar to keep the rubber maintained.

If the seals are loose, ultrasonic and nylon brush.

You could simply remove the seal and glass to get better access and not risk dorking up the paint on the truck. Yes, this a lot more work.

I had overspray on my roof window seals and during a glass-out repaint, I lightly sanded it with sandpaper to remove the paint, and the rubber was no worse for the wear. I should probably spray with a protectant now.
